About
Returning for his second season in the #5 car, Makowiecki will be fighting for his first overall victory at his home race: The 24 Hours of Le Mans. He previously tasted success in the GTE Pro class in 2022 and has four further podiums.
Makowiecki always had a keen interest in endurance racing, but a visit to the 24 Hours of Le Mans as a child in 1993 was what set him on the path to joining Porsche Penske Motorsport.
Competing in go-karting at the time, he “saw the cars in the day, in the night, with the flames, with the carbon brakes going red, it made me say one day I want to be there.”
When the announcement was done that Porsche would collaborate with Penske, it’s two big names in motorsport, and for sure it means a lot.
Explore the driver's triumphs and unforgettable racing moments.
