With a new season underway, get to know the six Porsche Penske Motorsport drivers competing in the GTP class of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship.

Porsche Penske Motorsport will fight for its third consecutive IMSA title in 2026, after taking the GTP crown in both 2024 and 2025.

This season marks a big year for Porsche, as Porsche Motorsport marks its 75th anniversary.

Team Penske is also celebrating 60 years since its first race, when Roger Penske Racing debuted at the 24 Hours of Daytona with a category-winning Corvette.

As the team marks such a special year, six drivers across two cars will tackle the GTP class - the top tier in IMSA racing.

Kévin Estre and Laurens Vanthoor will take the wheel of the #6 car, and will be joined by reigning IMSA champion Matt Campbell for select endurance rounds.

The #7 sister car will be shared by Julien Andlauer and Felipe Nasr, with newly promoted Porsche factory driver Laurin Heinrich alongside them for the longer races.

We caught up with all six of this year’s drivers at Sebring International Raceway to get to know a bit more about who they are outside the car.

A mainstay of the Porsche Penske Motorsport line-up, Kévin Estre joined the IMSA squad from WEC for 2026. Having been a Porsche driver for over a decade, the Frenchman is a firm fan favourite.

What is your favourite IMSA circuit?

“Road America.”

Who would be your dream team-mate and why?

“I’d say Laurens Vanthoor, otherwise he’s going to be angry.”

What was your earliest motorsport memory?

“Probably watching my father do a Formula Ford race when I was three or four years old.”

Who is your racing role model?

“Ayrton Senna, because I think he was the most talented.”

If you weren’t a racing driver, what would you be doing instead?

“I have no idea, to be honest. Maybe I would work with kids, because somehow so far I’m pretty good with them.”

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?

“I enjoy staying with my family and enjoying nature. I live in Austria, so I like to hike, go skiing, play Padel or tennis with friends.

What is your motto in life?

“Full attack, all the time.”

Moving across with Kévin for 2026, Laurens Vanthoor is also new to the full-time IMSA line-up - though he won two races Stateside in 2025. Laurens is well-known for his love of cycling and Açaí bowls.

What is your favourite IMSA circuit?

“Road America.”

Who would be your dream team-mate and why?

“Kévin Estre, because I’ve known him for too long.”

What was your earliest motorsport memory?

“Watching Formula 1 with my Dad.”

Who is your racing role model?

“Definitely not my brother.”

If you weren’t a racing driver, what would you be doing instead?

“I would love to say cyclist, but I fear I don’t have enough talent for that.”

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?

“Cycling.”

What is your motto in life?

“Be grateful.”

The reigning champion returns: Matt Campbell is back for another year in IMSA supporting the #6 drivers at select events. After a hugely successful 2025, can he help the team to another title?

What is your favourite IMSA circuit?

“It’s very close actually, between Road America and Road Atlanta.”

Who would be your dream team-mate and why?

“Probably Laurens and Kévin - it’d be rude to say otherwise!”

What was your earliest motorsport memory?

“Running around a race track, probably around four-years-old, in my hometown.”

Who is your racing role model?

“When I was younger it was always Greg Murphy, the Australian Supercars driver.”

If you weren’t a racing driver, what would you be doing instead?

“By trade, I’m a builder, so I suppose I’d be a carpenter.”

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?

“Bit of golf and go-karting.”

What is your motto in life?

“Live every day like it’s your last.”

Kicking off his second season with Porsche Penske Motorsport in style, Julien Andlauer has won both of his first two IMSA races with the team. After a fantastic year with Proton in the WEC, he moved to the factory team in 2025 before a switch to IMSA for 2026.

What is your favourite IMSA circuit?

“I would say Sebring, but I’m very much looking forward to driving Road America with the Porsche 963.”

Who would be your dream team-mate and why?

“I don’t even know if he did any endurance racing, but Alain Prost.”

What was your earliest motorsport memory?

“I would say in go-kart, the first couple of races I was winning in my region.”

Who is your racing role model?

“No-one, really - I don’t really have a role model - but I grew up watching Schumacher win a lot in Formula 1.”

If you weren’t a racing driver, what would you be doing instead?

“Probably not a footballer or a soccer player - I’m really bad with the ball! So maybe be an entrepreneur or be into business, I really like this.”

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?

“Golf, friends, family, music, nice wine and food, Padel - that’s pretty much it.”

What is your motto in life?

“I have a great life, I love it, so I just want to keep doing what I’m doing, trying to be the best I can be in the car and out of the car. I always set objectives, every month or year, to try to grow step by step and improve everything around me.”

A three-time IMSA champion, Felipe Nasr took Porsche Penske Motorsport to GTP glory in 2024. The spirited Brazilian has the longest tenure of the IMSA drivers. Can he make it a fourth title in 2026?

What is your favourite IMSA circuit?

“Either Daytona or Road America.”

Who would be your dream team-mate and why?

“I’d probably pick Ayrton Senna. He was my childhood dream driver to meet - it would be a great combination.”

What was your earliest motorsport memory?

“I remember myself watching Formula 1 with my Dad on Sundays back in Brazil and probably seeing Schumacher winning.”

Who is your racing role model?

“My Dad.”

If you weren’t a racing driver, what would you be doing instead?

“Maybe a professional fisherman.”

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?

“I like to go home to my family and friends, my fiancée and cooking. There are two Felipes - the one that comes here and drives and wins races, and the one that goes home. I just like to be myself - catching up with friends, keeping up with workouts and day-to-day life. That’s what I like to do.”

What is your motto in life?

“Live now. Today is such a blessing, so take it all in.”

The newest member of Porsche Penske Motorsport, Laurin Heinrich joined the team on a high after capturing the GTD Pro crown with AO Racing and Rexy in 2025. Inspired by German greats such as Sebastian Vettel, Heinrich is gunning for another title in 2026.

What is your favourite IMSA circuit?

“WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca, I love racing in California and I scored my very first IMSA victory there.”

Who would be your dream team-mate and why?

“My best friend - he’s also racing in GT4s, and we always had a dream to someday do a race together. I hope that dream will come true at some point.”

What was your earliest motorsport memory?

“When I got my first kart. We didn’t race it on a karting circuit, we always went on a Sunday to public roads just to feel it and to drive it.”

Who is your racing role model?

“As a German, I’d go with Sebastian Vettel. I’m of the generation where I didn’t experience that much of Michael Schumacher anymore, so I grew up watching Vettel and for me, he’s my role model. I always watched him on Sundays racing Formula 1.”

If you weren’t a racing driver, what would you be doing instead?

“I think I would be an airplane pilot, I love airplanes.”

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?

“I live in nature, so I love spending time outdoors, doing a lot of sports - I love running next to the river or up the mountains. That’s so relaxing to me.”

What is your motto in life?

“Enjoy the moment, because I feel like we often forget this, especially in nice moments.”
