Personal take
Appointed to his role in October 2021, Thomas oversees the entire Porsche Motorsport division, from WEC and IMSA to Formula E, GT racing and so much more. He has spent most of his life working in motorsport, joining Porsche in 1998 and returning later after seven years at Audi. Thomas spent many years working in powertrain development, including as the head developer of the trailblazing V8 engine for the Porsche RS Spyder. It was under his watch that Porsche Penske Motorsport and the TAG Heuer Porsche Formula E Team achieved such stellar results in 2024. Despite all this success, he still has a clear goal: Keep on winning races.
I spent many, many years at the racetrack. And now having the job I have, overseeing Porsche Motorsport, I think it's very helpful because I would say I know what I'm talking about. When I come to the racetrack, I know what I have to look at.
