Joshua Rogers: Eyes on the race

It takes a special type of person to succeed on a track: Someone who knows what he wants and finds ways to get there. This is Joshua Rogers. Growing up in Australia, Rogers started go-karting at age seven; with his whole family being enthusiastic about all kinds of motorsport.

While playing racing games since he was four years old, it took him ten more years to reach for an actual racing rig. Originally it was supposed to be training for karting, but for him, it turned out to be fun and an intriguing challenge that gave his life a new direction.

I love the competitive aspect and the especially close racing you get in Sim Racing.

Joshua Rogers, Worksdriver, Porsche Coanda Esports Racing Team

What makes Sim Racing unique for Rogers is that it is a highly accessible sport many people can take part in and showcase their talent, while being highly competitive at the same time. Often, the results are so close, the most subtle decision can overturn the outcome. But that’s no problem for the Australian. Being an outstanding adapter is what makes Rogers’ racing so great. A change of rig, a new car, an unideal starting position or anything unforeseen: Rogers makes the most out of it. Because he never sticks to a script, but to his gut. Never losing his focus made him succeed at the ESLR1 Fall Majors 2023 Driver Championship. And we are sure there are many more victories to come!

In the future I want to do the best job I can, continue to do my part to help grow Sim Racing and also continue to have fun!

* All new vehicles offered by Porsche are type-approved according to WLTP. Official NEDC values derived from WLTP values are no longer available for new vehicles as of 1 January 2023 and can therefore not be provided.

Where values are indicated as ranges, they do not refer to a single, specific vehicle and are not part of the offered product range. They are only for the purposes of comparison between different vehicle tyrpes. Additional equipment and accessories (add-on parts, tyre formats etc.) can change relevant vehicle parameters such as weight, rolling resistance and aerodynamics. These factors, in addition to weather, traffic conditions and driving behaviour, can influence the fuel/electricity consumption, CO₂ emissions, range and performance values of a vehicle.
