After a well-earned summer break, here’s a preview of Porsche Motorsport’s activities in September.

Taking place on September 20, this year the race will shift back to a standard 2-hour 40-minute format, instead of a 6-hour endurance race.

IMSA: Battle on the Bricks
IMSA is back in September, with the Battle on the Bricks taking place on September 20.
With a thrilling sprint format at the iconic Brickyard, this year’s edition is sure to be an exciting change to the IMSA calendar.
The 2h40 race will run on the the 2.4mi / 3.9km 14-turn road course.
Porsche factory driver Laurin Heinrich is currently second in the drivers’ standings heading into the final two races of the season, with the #7 Porsche Penske Motorsport crew of Julien Andlauer and Felipe Nasr in fourth.
The #7 car is third in the teams’ standings, while Porsche is second in the manufacturers’ title fight behind Cadillac.
Last time out at Road America, the JDC-Miller MotorSports team gave a stellar performance, fighting back from two penalties to finish second. Read the full race report
WEC: Lone Star Le Mans and 6 Hours of Fuji
The World Endurance Championship returns for the second half of its 2026 season in September, with Rounds 5 and 6 taking place in quick succession.
First up is the Lone Star Le Mans at the Circuit of the Americas on September 6.
Set outside Austin, Texas, the track has 20 turns - 11 left and nine right - across 5.5km / 3.4mi, and takes in iconic sections such as the uphill run into Turn 1, known as Big Red.
Next, the championship heads East for the 6 Hours of Fuji at Fuji Speedway in Japan on September 27.
This historic track, nestled in the foothills of Mount Fuji, has been the scene of many iconic tussles as an endurance racing fan favourite.
At 4.5km / 2.8mi, this circuit might be shorter than COTA, but it is just as mighty.
In the FIA Endurance Trophy for LMGT3 Teams, the #92 The Bend Manthey crew are in second place, just 27 points behind the leaders.
The crew of Richard Lietz, Riccardo Pera and Yasser Shahin took victory at Spa and will be hoping to secure another top-step result at the upcoming two rounds.
Esports: Porsche Esports Supercup and Rennsport R1
The Porsche Esports Supercup World Championships get underway in September, with two races taking place.
The first is at Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps on September 19, before a race at Silverstone a week later.
Drivers who qualified through the Regional Championships will battle it out in the Porsche 911 Cup for the ultimate prize: Taking their racecraft from sim to asphalt.
There are five rounds in total across September and October, before the top racers will be selected for a Shoot-Out and invited to Cologne.
From these five participants, two drivers will be selected, and will go on to compete in real race cars on track.
The winner is ultimately crowned a new development prospect, and will be able to translate their virtual skills to the asphalt for a Porsche Motorsport-supported season in 2027.

Rennsport R1 returns for its second season of 2026 this month, kicking off on September 1.
There will be three more race days throughout the month, before the grand finale in October.
The Porsche Coanda Esports Racing Team won the Spring Season, and will be back to fight for more victories this autumn.
One of the team’s drivers, Joshua Rogers, is also competing in the Porsche Carwow Sprint Challenge GB this season.
He sits second in the standings with three rounds remaining. In September, the series visits Croft and Silverstone (National), before the season ends at Brands Hatch in October.

DTM: Sachsenring
The DTM heads to the Sachsenring for its penultimate round of 2026 from September 10-13.
This classic track near Chemnitz is a 3.6km / 2.2mi anti-clockwise roller-coaster, most famed for hosting the German motorcycle Grand Prix.
The series heads to Saxony with another tight championship battle, as Porsche works driver Thomas Preining battles for another title.
Just one point behind leader Maro Engel, Preining has been on the podium for the past four races in a row and has his sights set on victory.
Manthey’s strong results at the Sachsenring stand him in good stead, with Ayhancan Güven having won both races here last year.
The team is second in the teams’ standings, just four points behind Winward Racing.
Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup: Italy
Just one round remains for the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup: The season finale at Monza in support of Formula 1’s Italian Grand Prix.
Porsche Junior Flynt Schuring was crowned the Drivers’ Champion at Zandvoort after winning three of the seven races so far this season, but the Rookies and Teams’ Championships are still to be decided.
Schuring clinched the title one year after winning the Rookie title in impressive style at his home event, which featured two races across the weekend.
The final two titles will be decided at Autodromo Nazionale Monza, with its roaring crowds and thrilling racing.
Turn 1 of the 5.7km / 3.6mi circuit always provides drama, with the rest of the picturesque circuit the perfect setting for an exciting championship showdown.
