Dopo essere salito due volte sul podio del WEC in questa stagione, Vanthoor spera di continuare la sua serie positiva alla 24 Ore di Le Mans. Nel 2018 ha vinto la sua classe nella gara più importante insieme a Christensen ed Estre, e prima era un pilota ufficiale Porsche nell'IMSA.
Un sogno che si è avverato
Il viaggio di Vanthoor nel mondo Porsche è iniziato con le gare GT, ma dice che “da tempo sognava di guidare delle hypercar”.
Poterlo fare con Porsche è, secondo me, il posto migliore dove si possa essere”. Il suo saggio consiglio ai nuovi arrivati? ‘Se ti impegni e lavori sodo, prima o poi tutto andrà per il meglio’.
Andare a Le Mans in testa alla classifica, con un gruppo così forte... è davvero qualcosa di speciale.
