With the motorsport calendar kicking off in style, here’s a preview of Porsche activities in February.
The second month of 2025 brings more exciting LMDh action, another stellar Formula E round, the launch of a new season of the Porsche Esports Supercup and the iconic Bathurst 12 Hour.
The FIA World Endurance Championship is back in February with the Qatar 1812km, with the Porsche Penske Motorsport team determined to defend its crown.
Taking place on February 28, the 10-hour spectacular kicks off a thrilling eight-round international calendar covering the Middle East, Asia, Europe and the Americas.
Formula E also heads to the Middle East with its Jeddah round - the third of the 2024-25 season - while Esports sees the launch of a new season of the Porsche Esports Supercup.
Down Under, drivers prepare for the landmark Bathurst 12 Hour, taking place on the iconic Mount Panorama circuit.

WEC: Qatar 1812km
The WEC’s hotly-awaited opening round takes place on February 28, returning to the Middle East for the Qatar 1812km with Porsche Penske Motorsport as reigning champions.
It is the second time the championship has visited Lusail International Circuit, which opened in 2004, after the venue made its debut on the calendar last year. Contested over a maximum of ten hours, the Qatar 1812km refers to the Qatar National Day on December 18.
Last year’s race marked the first WEC victory for the Porsche 963, with Porsche sweeping the podium and taking a commanding overall victory with the #6 car. Read the full race report
The Porsche Penske Motorsport team claimed the 2024 drivers’ title at the final round in Bahrain in November and will be gunning for a second consecutive title. Finishing second in the manufacturers’ championship, while Manthey Racing also won the LMGT3 title, Porsche will be fighting for even more success in 2025.
Two drivers will regularly pilot each car in the WEC, with Julien Andlauer joining Michael Christensen in the #5 Porsche 963. Andlauer drove for the Proton Competition team in 2024, and brings extensive experience with Porsche since being named Porsche Junior in 2018.
The #6 sister car will be helmed predominantly by Laurens Vanthoor and Kévin Estre.
A third driver will be called on for each car for the 24 Hours of Le Mans and the season's highlight races, with the #5 cockpit earmarked for Mathieu Jaminet and Matt Campbell driving the #6 car.
Formula E: Jeddah E-Prix
Formula E hosts its first double-header of the season in February, heading to Jeddah in Saudi Arabia on February 14 and 15.
Having previously raced in Diriyah, the championship will instead race on a modified version of the iconic Corniche Short Circuit, used for Formula 1’s Saudi Arabian Grand Prix.
The TAG Heuer Porsche Formula E Team leads the teams’ standings heading into rounds three and four after scoring a superb double podium last time out in
António Félix da Costa leads the drivers' title race after finishing second in that race, with reigning world champion team-mate Pascal Wehrlein in third place, having also taken pole position in an all-Porsche 99X Electric front row.
At the season opener in
The Saudi Arabia rounds mark the first of six double headers on this year’s 16-race calendar, culminating in what is sure to be another thrilling season finale in London in July.
Esports: Porsche TAG Heuer Esports Supercup
The seventh running of the Porsche TAG Heuer Esports Supercup gets underway in February, with 30 of the fastest sim racers all competing for a share of the $200,000 prize pot.
The first three rounds of seven kick off this season’s thrilling action this month, with the opening race at Daytona Road Course on February 1.
A week later, the series heads to Mugello, before tackling the challenging Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps on February 15.
Inaugural winner Joshua Rogers and reigning champion Sebastian Job will both be battling for their third title, with a host of exciting drivers competing in the 2025 championship.
Each round has a qualifying session and a sprint race, followed by a longer feature race. The sprint winner secures 25 points, with 50 points going to the driver in first place in the feature race.

Customer racing: Bathurst 12 Hour
Australia’s iconic endurance race takes place on February 2, bringing thrilling racing action to the stunning Mount Panorama circuit for the opening round of the International GT Challenge.
The 12-hour epic features seven GT3 brands, fielding 27 drivers, racing across the steep 6.2km mountain course’s 23 turns.
Porsche has taken two wins at the event, both of which featured IMSA driver Matt Campbell. The first was alongside Dirk Werner and Dennis Olsen for Earl Bamber Motorsport in 2019, before the second with Ayhancan Güven and Laurens Vanthoor at Manthey EMA last year.
Two Porsche 911 GT3 R feature on the entry list. The #91 The Bend entry will be shared by brothers Yasser and Sam Shahin, 2024 IMSA GTD Pro title winner Laurin Heinrich and Morris Schuring, who piloted the Manthey EMA #91 car which took Le Mans LMGT3 victory in 2024.
The #911 Absolute Racing entry will be again shared by Campbell and Güven, gunning for a second consecutive win, and joined by Alessio Picariello.
