The seventh running of the Porsche TAG Heuer Esports Supercup gets underway next month, with 30 of the fastest sim racers all competing for a share of the $200,000 prize pot.
Inaugural winner Joshua Rogers and reigning champion Sebastian Job will both be battling for their third title, with a host of exciting drivers competing in the 2025 championship.
The seven-round series will be held between February and April, with a top prize of a whopping $50,000.
Each round has a qualifying session and a sprint race, followed by a longer feature race. The sprint winner secures 25 points, with 50 points going to the driver in first place in the feature race.
The championship also features a drop race rule, with each drivers’ worst result removed from the points standings to keep the title fight close and unpredictable until the very end.
The calendar has seen significant changes, with only Daytona and Le Mans retaining their places on the roster. Joining them are other iconic race tracks including Mugello and Spa-Francorchamps.
Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps also hosted the final round of the Contender Series. That championship saw the bottom 15 finishers in the 2024 season and the fastest racers from the public Qualifying Series all earn their place on the 2025 grid.
Most notably Rogers, who drives for the Porsche Coanda Esports Racing Team, was the outright champion of the Contender Series. The 2019 and 2021 champion battled to regain his place on the grid after taking some time away from the championship.
Alongside him, the Contender Series also unveiled some exciting new talents as Elvis Rankin, Florian Lebigre, Nicolas Mateo and William Chadwick all claimed at least one race victory and will be making their debut in the Porsche TAG Heuer Esports Supercup.
All eyes will be on reigning champion Job to see if he can best Rogers in a head-to-head championship fight. The last time both drivers faced off against each other was the 2021 series, which was won by Rogers.
Job isn’t the only driver to have won the Porsche TAG Heuer Esports Supercup title during Rogers’ absence, as Diogo Pinto of Team Redline and Jordan Caruso, who joined the Porsche Coanda Esports Racing team late last year, won the championship in 2022 and 2023 respectively.
The 2024 season ended with Job narrowly outsourcing Pinto whilst Caruso finished third in the standings. Those three, along with Rogers, will be the favourites for this year’s championship.
This year’s Porsche TAG Heuer Esports Supercup will see the greats compete and feature many new faces battling to prove themselves in the most exciting season yet.
