Promoting talent has been part of the DNA of the Porsche Sixt Carrera Cup Germany for decades. Since 2018, Porsche Germany has been promoting young talent even more specifically with the Talent Pool. The programme is aimed at young drivers who are no more than 21 years old at the start of the season and supports them on their way into professional motorsport. The programme teaches precisely the building blocks that determine the next career step in modern motorsport: physical preparation, mental stability, working with data, media skills and an understanding of team and works structures.
Former Porsche works driver Wolf Henzler accompanies the participants as a coach on all race weekends. They also receive support before and after the events. The programme also includes a kick-off event with media training and a factory visit, the creation of individual training and nutrition plans, fitness checks by the sports medicine partners and sports psychology advice. The sponsorship is rounded off with Talent Pool teamwear. Eight drivers will once again benefit from the Talent Pool in the 2026 season. The programme is international, with seven nations from three continents represented in this year's support squad.
This year’s Talent Pool includes eight young drivers: Matheus Ferreira (BR/Team GP Elite), Nick Ho (NL/Team GP Elite), Sam Jongejan (NL/Team75 Bernhard), Chester Kieffer (L/Schumacher CLRT), Max Mutschlechner (I/Target Competition), Alexandra Vateva (BG/ Target Competition), Caleb Sumich (AUS/Target) and Joseph Warhurst (UK/Target).
