Porsche Esports Performance Center

The Porsche Coanda Esports Racing Team has relocated to a new headquarters in Cologne-Ossendorf.

The Porsche Esports Performance Center (PEPC) is located at the Trilux Light Campus, the German market leader for professional lighting solutions and long-standing partner of Porsche Motorsport. With state-of-the-art facilities to help further develop the factory outfit.

The centre, which opened on May 9, marks the team’s relocation from Gronau to Cologne-Ossendorf - just under 200km away.

The new multifunctional facility features six professional racing simulators and an adjoining workstation for the team's racing engineers over more than 320 m2.

There are also open-plan work spaces, a meeting room, a fitness area, a chill-out area, a show car area and more.

The PEPC is where the works drivers train and compete in races that take place online rather than in front of an audience.

Nina Braack, Esports Manager at Porsche Motorsport, said: "We wanted to create spaces in which our team can perform even better. Because the physical element in digital motorsport is smaller than in “tarmac motorsport”, the mental aspect is even more important. Light reflections or background noise, for example, can affect the athletes' performance.

"The new headquarters is a further step in our programme. In Gronau, our young professionals lived in a shared flat near our competition premises. By moving to Cologne, we are also supporting their personal development: some have moved into private flats. “Others, however, have opted for a shared flat again, even though they have grown older. This illustrates the great spirit that prevails in our project.

“Cologne is also one of the central locations for the industry: Various esports and gaming companies are based in the cathedral city, and the scene travels to Cologne from all over the world once a year for Gamescom."

The Porsche Coanda Racing Team is currently leading the teams’ championship in the R1 online sim racing premier class. The final will take place this summer at the Esports World Cup in Saudi Arabia.

* All new vehicles offered by Porsche are type-approved according to WLTP. Official NEDC values derived from WLTP values are no longer available for new vehicles as of 1 January 2023 and can therefore not be provided.

Where values are indicated as ranges, they do not refer to a single, specific vehicle and are not part of the offered product range. They are only for the purposes of comparison between different vehicle tyrpes. Additional equipment and accessories (add-on parts, tyre formats etc.) can change relevant vehicle parameters such as weight, rolling resistance and aerodynamics. These factors, in addition to weather, traffic conditions and driving behaviour, can influence the fuel/electricity consumption, CO₂ emissions, range and performance values of a vehicle.
