Porsche Junior Driver 2018/2019
Love at first drive.
Julien Andlauer's career in Motorsport began with karting – to the surprise of none, considering the fact that his father is a manager of a kart track in Lyon, France. At six-years-old, Julien stepped into his first kart and could improve his driving skills throughout his entire childhood.
From there, Andlauer entered the French Formula 4 for a season in 2015. Here, he drew quite some attention: Despite it being his first season, the Frenchman immediately scored the third spot of the championship. Directly in the following year, he entered the Porsche Carrera Cup France and achieved a spot on the podium in his first year there as well. Another year later: the overall victory. This was also the victory that nominated him for a viewing during the Porsche Motorsport Junior Programme in 2017.
When Andlauer is not racing for best lap times in various race series, he remains a fighter: In his free time, he enjoys doing sports – boxing amongst others. This offers him the chance to keep himself fit physically and train his reflexes. It also demands a lot of respect and fairness – both things that Julien Andlauer embodies in motorsport.
Even when a duel with the Frenchman becomes intense throughout a race: Julien Andlauer thanks his opponents after the race. Little wonder that he is popular among fans and colleagues.
