Junior Driver Klaus Bachler

Porsche Junior Driver 2012/2013/2014

Through all stations in motorsports

Klaus Bachler's career began in Karting: At the age of five he sat in a small single-seater for the first time, and four years later he took part in his first race.

Born in Austria, he has loved cars and motorsport since childhood and his years on the Karting track have left their mark. So it was a natural step for him to enter Formula racing in 2006. In his first year, he finished 14th in the Formula Lista junior in neighboring Switzerland, only to win the championship in the following year.

Bachler spent six successful years in Formula racing before switching to GT sport. In 2011, he competed in the Porsche Carrera Cup Germany and caught the attention from Porsche: He was invited to the shoot-out for the next Porsche Junior – and was selected immediately for 2012.

From a Kart to a record

In the following years, Klaus Bachler raced in the ADAC GT Masters Championship and the Nürburgring Endurance Series with various Porsche Customer Racing Teams. In the latter, he set the lap record of the RCM Grenzlandrennen at the Nürburgring in 2018 – a record that was only broken three years later by his colleague Kèvin Estre.

In 2025 Klaus Bachler drives the Porsche 911 GT3 R for AO Racing together with Laurin Heinrich in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship.
