Junior Driver Ayhancan Güven

Porsche Junior Driver 2020/2021

For the love of motorsport

Since his childhood, Ayhancan Güven has close ties with motorsport: Just at six-years-old, he participated in his first kart race and achieved several good positions in the Turkish Karting Championship in the following years. At eleven, he won the first place of the Turkish Karting Championship. An early sign of his potential on the racetrack.

But the realization about taking his love for motorsport into a professional field only came to Güven after a short excursion into other, related hobbies. Shortly after his victory in the Karting Championship, the then boy from Maltepe, Turkey, took a break – and went on in Simracing. He realized what his dream job was on the digital track: professional race driver.

After his return to the karting track, Ayhancan Güven continued his success, until he was chosen as Porsche Junior in 2019.

Part of the family business

Güven's passion for motorsport did not come out of nowhere: His father is an enthusiastic amateur race driver and brought Güven onto the karting track. The now Porsche factory driver still trusts the experience of his father. But the rest of his family has also gotten involved: Güven's elder sister plans his travels, her husband trains with him, a cousin takes care of his digital channels. It's safe to say that motorsport is the Güven family business.

How could it not? Ayhancan Güven lives and breathes motorsport and is ambitious: in all races, no matter if live or digital, he is focused on winning.
