12 Hours of Sebring 2026

The 12 Hours of Sebring dates back over 70 years, and was first held in 1952. The prestigious event was inspired by the 24 Hours of Le Mans, and brought a European style of racing to the United States. The race is considered part of the Triple Crown of endurance racing, along with Le Mans and the 24 Hours of Daytona. It was first held as a six-hour race in 1950, before its extension for the second running two years later.

Sebring International Raceway is in Sebring, Florida, around 110 km / 70 mi from Tampa and Orlando, and 230 km / 140 mi from Miami. It is one of the oldest continuously operating race tracks in the US and occupies the site of Hendricks Army Airfield.

Alongside the IMSA race, the circuit also hosts other sportscar events including GT World Challenge America and the Classic 12 Hours of Sebring. It previously hosted the World Endurance Championship’s 1000 Miles of Sebring, which was held alongside the 12 Hours in 2022 and 2023.

Porsche has the most wins of any manufacturer at the event, with a total of 19. Porsche Penske Motorsport will fight for a second consecutive win in 2026, as it marks the 30th anniversary of Porsche and Mobil 1’s hugely successful partnership on and off-track.

Five rounds of the IMSA calendar, including the 12 Hours of Sebring, make up the Michelin Endurance Cup: The Daytona 24 Hours, the 12 Hours of Sebring, the Six Hours of The Glen, Road America and Petit Le Mans. Points are awarded at various intervals throughout the races for position at that time, and whichever team ends the season with the most points wins the coveted Cup.
