Joining nearly 200 Porsche race cars at Watkins Glen International for PCA Club Racing's annual Clash at The Glen, Porsche Sprint Trophy PCA continued its inaugural season with a competitive penultimate round at one of North America's most iconic road courses.

Following a season that has already featured multiple winners and close competition at Sebring International Raceway and Lime Rock Park, Watkins Glen continued to showcase the depth of talent throughout the Porsche Sprint Trophy PCA field as both classes welcomed new winners and podium finishers.

JDX Racing pair Joel Johnson & Matthew Siegal shared GT3 Cup honors across the weekend, while Peter Haabestad and Connor Hare each took Cayman class victories. With just one round remaining in the inaugural season, every result carried increased significance in the fight for championship positions.

The GT3 Cup class continued to showcase the depth of talent within the Porsche Sprint Trophy PCA field as Joel Johnson and Matthew Siegal split victories during the Clash at The Glen weekend.

Johnson opened the weekend with a Race 1 victory, adding to his Round 2 win at Lime Rock Park and further strengthening his championship campaign. Griffin Fujii crossed the line second, while Michael Levitas secured a podium finish in third.

Race 2 saw Siegal return to the top step of the podium for the first time since sweeping the season-opening round at Sebring International Raceway. Siegal claimed the victory ahead of Johnson, who completed a strong weekend with a second-place finish, while Muzaffar Gafurov rounded out the podium in third.

With victories now spread among several drivers through the first three rounds of the season, the GT3 Cup championship remains firmly in contention as the inaugural campaign heads to its finale at Road America.

Haabestad capitalizes as Hare's winning streak ends.

The Cayman class saw its first change atop the podium of the 2026 season at Watkins Glen. Entering the weekend undefeated after sweeping both races at Sebring International Raceway and Lime Rock Park, Connor Hare appeared poised to continue his dominant run in Race 1 before a mechanical issue forced him to retire while leading.

The setback opened the door for Peter Haabestad, who had finished runner-up in every race to that point, to claim his breakthrough victory of the season. Doug Lawson continued his consistent campaign with a second-place finish.

Hare quickly rebounded in Race 2, returning to the form that has defined his season. The championship leader captured his fifth victory in six races, finishing ahead of Haabestad and Lawson.

While Hare maintained his position as the driver to beat in the Cayman class, Haabestad's Race 1 victory finally broke the streak and proved that the season-long challenger is ready to capitalize whenever an opportunity presents itself heading into the finale at Road America.
