Expanding the Porsche Motorsport Pyramid.
The addition of Porsche Sprint Trophy POC represents the latest evolution of the North American Porsche Motorsport Pyramid.
Designed for both aspiring racers and experienced competitors, the series offers a professional racing environment while maintaining the accessibility and community-focused spirit that have long been synonymous with grassroots Porsche competition.
“We are excited to work more closely with the Porsche Owners Club and launch the Porsche Sprint Trophy Porsche Owners Club together,” said Volker Holzmeyer, President and CEO of Porsche Motorsport North America.
“POC has built a strong community around Porsche club racing, bringing together drivers who share a passion for racing, learning, and supporting one another on and off the track. That spirit of camaraderie, combined with a long-standing commitment to driver development, makes POC an ideal partner for this series.
“The new championship strengthens the North American Porsche Motorsport Pyramid by creating an accessible and cost-effective racing opportunity on the West Coast, complementing Porsche Sprint Trophy PCA in the East. At the same time, it preserves what has always made POC special: a race-focused environment where drivers can progress, build lasting relationships, and enjoy the unique experience of competing with fellow Porsche enthusiasts.”

A community built around racing.
Few organizations are better positioned to support the growth of grassroots Porsche racing than the Porsche Owners Club. Founded in 1955 and now entering its 71st year, POC has built a reputation not only for competitive racing, but also for fostering a welcoming community centered around driver development and a shared passion for Porsche motorsport.
One of the club's defining strengths is its race-focused driver development ladder. Through its Performance Driving Series (PDS), Time Trial program, and wheel-to-wheel racing competitions, drivers can progress from introductory track experiences to competitive racing within a single organization, supported by coaching, mentorship, and a culture of continuous improvement.
“The POC is elated to welcome home the Porsche Sprint Trophy Series to our playground,” said John Momeyer, President of Porsche Owners Club.
“Partnering with PMNA and USAC for this series will bring a new and unique look to our paddock. We have always enjoyed being part of the Porsche Motorsport Pyramid and seeing drivers come through our club races and progress to the next level of Porsche driving.
“This series solidifies a path for a POC club member to learn to drive on track, time trial, go club racing while participating in a Trophy Series, and then take the next step up the Porsche Motorsport Pyramid.”
That philosophy has helped produce successful racers throughout the Porsche paddock. Current Porsche Carrera Cup North America competitor Rob Walker developed through POC competition, while Fred Poordad's racing journey began in the club before ultimately leading to victory in the Rolex 24 At Daytona.
