Porsche Motorsport North America

Entries for the 2027 Porsche Carrera Cup North America season are now open for drivers & teams looking to join North America's premier one-make championship, combining world-class competition with a proven pathway to professional sports car racing.

Entries are now open for the seventh season of Porsche Carrera Cup North America, with a debut at Daytona International Speedway headlining a 2027 calendar packed with landmark motorsport events. This will be the first time racing at the Daytona 24 weekend – showcasing the Porsche single-make championship at one of the biggest endurance races in the world.

The championship will enter its second season with the Porsche 911 Cup (Type 992.2) combined with the Pirelli tire package, offering drivers the opportunity to showcase their talent in identical machinery at some of North America's most iconic circuits and premier motorsport events alongside Formula 1, IMSA, and IndyCar.

Daytona joins the calendar.

The new opening round at Daytona adds another iconic venue to the series’ history and gives competitors an earlier start to their 2027 campaigns.

Daytona joins a calendar packed with landmark events, alongside returning visits to the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring, Grand Prix of Long Beach, Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix, SportsCar Endurance Grand Prix at Road America, and Petit Le Mans at Road Atlanta. The season will culminate at Circuit of The Americas, where Carrera Cup North America will again race on the world stage alongside the Formula 1 United States Grand Prix.

The schedule combines historic road courses, demanding street circuits and Formula 1 venues, giving drivers a varied challenge and teams & partners valuable exposure throughout the season.

Daytona, Sebring, Road America, and Road Atlanta will also form the 2027 ANDIAL Cup – a championship within a championship – which awards separate points and trophies to drivers who choose to compete only on these traditional road courses.

North America's premier one-make championship.

Since its debut in 2021, Porsche Carrera Cup North America has established itself as the continent's premier one-make championship and a key pillar of the North American Porsche Motorsport Pyramid. Featuring the latest generation Porsche 911 Cup race car and competing alongside Formula 1, IMSA, and IndyCar events, the series has become a proving ground for many of the region's top sports car racing talents.

Through the latest rounds at Road Atlanta, Carrera Cup North America has contested 94 races across 12 circuits, with 149 drivers making race starts in the championship. Across those races, competitors have accumulated 163,928 racing miles – equivalent to more than six and a half laps around the earth.

The championship has showcased racing at some of the most recognizable venues in North America, from Long Beach and Miami to Sebring, Road America, Road Atlanta and Circuit of The Americas. In 2027, Daytona International Speedway will become the 13th circuit to host the championship, further expanding the series' footprint.

With the 2026 finale in support of Formula 1's United States Grand Prix still to come, Carrera Cup North America's history continues to grow as preparations begin for the championship's seventh season.

Graduates continue to excel across sports car racing.

Former Carrera Cup North America champions Sebastian Priaulx, Parker Thompson, Riley Dickinson, Loek Hartog, and Ryan Yardley have gone on to become highly successful at the GT level.

Other GT3 stars include Tom Sargent, Adam Adelson, Zachary Vanier, Michael McCann, Alex Sedgwick, Thomas Merrill, and Zachary Vanier, while PJ Hyett is a championship winner in LMP2.

Former Carrera Cup race winners Trenton Estep and Yves Baltas have also carried their success into GT4 America, recently combining to claim victory.

For drivers considering the 2027 season, those achievements demonstrate the opportunities within the North American Porsche Motorsport Pyramid – from Sprint Challenge to Carrera Cup – then onward into GT4, GT3, and prototype competition.

Climbing the Porsche Motorsport Pyramid.

While the championship’s fastest stars have gone on to showcase their speed in open competition championships, drivers from Porsche Sprint Challenge North America by Yokohama continue to eye Carrera Cup as the next step in their career story.

Drivers making that progression in 2026 include 2025 champion Cole Kleck, alongside Matt Smith, Josh Conley, Alex Pratt, Alain Scalzo, Frank Vitiello, Joel Johnson, and Dan Drohan.

Kleck has already demonstrated the potential of that pathway, earning his first Carrera Cup victory at Road America with TOPP Racing.

The progression offers opportunities for ambitious young racers and experienced competitors alike, building their racecraft in Porsche machinery before taking on Carrera Cup’s highly competitive field and major event stages.
