From Daytona to Le Mans: Chip Hart Racing

Chip Hart Racing is back: This time for the 24 Hours of Le Mans, ahead of the release of F1® The Movie.

The fictional Porsche customer team will feature in the Apple Original Films movie, having taken part in last year’s Daytona race via Wright Motorsports to capture authentic footage for the film.

Now, a version of the Chip Hart Racing livery will appear on one of the Manthey Racing vehicles for the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

The team’s third Porsche 911 GT3 R will sport the film-team livery, to bridge fiction and reality once more ahead of the global theatrical release of F1® The Movie, releasing in theatres and IMAX® in North America on June 27, 2025, and internationally beginning June 25, 2025.

The hugely anticipated event film tells the story of Sonny Hayes (Brad Pitt) - “the greatest that never was,” FORMULA 1’s most promising phenom of the 1990s until an accident on the track nearly ended his career.

Thirty years later, he’s a nomadic racer-for-hire when he’s approached by his former team-mate Ruben Cervantes (Javier Bardem), owner of struggling FORMULA 1 team APXGP that is on the verge of collapse.

Hayes is convinced to return for one last shot at FORMULA 1 in a bid to save the team, driving alongside hotshot rookie Joshua Pearce (Damson Idris).

But as the engines roar, Sonny’s past catches up with him, and he finds that in FORMULA 1, your team-mate is your fiercest competition—and the road to redemption is not something you can travel alone.

The movie was directed by Joseph Kosinski (Top Gun: Maverick), and produced by Jerry Bruckheimer, Kosinski, seven-time FORMULA 1® world champion Lewis Hamilton, Pitt, Dede Gardner, Jeremy Kleiner and Chad Oman.

The screenplay is by Ehren Kruger, story by Kosinski & Kruger. F1® The Movie immerses audiences in the exhilarating and cinematic world of racing, with filming taking place at F1 races around the world.

The stunning turquoise and blue design with magenta highlights will adorn the #90 Manthey Porsche driven by Antares Au, Klaus Bachler and Loek Hartog.

Making a special appearance in the Le Mans-only entry, Au, Hartog and Bachler will join the fierce fight to top the LMGT3 podium.

Au and Hartog will make their 24 Hours of Le Mans debuts, while Bachler previously finished second in 2014.
