  • Second round of the Porsche Sprint Challenge Benelux delivers exciting races and changing conditions

  • Nick Hunter and Belle Rappange highly successful with two class victories each

Zandvoort, June 5, 2026. The Porsche Sprint Challenge Benelux opened its season at Circuit Zolder, and just over a month later, drivers and teams headed to the Dutch North Sea coast forthe second round, held at the iconic Circuit Zandvoort. Once again, three races were on theschedule: two pure sprint races and a short endurance race. Together, they provided excellent motorsport action and a variety of winners.

This season, each meeting features three races: two 25-minute sprint races and a 45-minute endurance race with a mandatory pit stop.

Changeable conditions shape the weekend

The weather played a significant role during the second round of the 2026 Porsche Sprint Challenge Benelux, with a wet qualifying session, two sprint races on a drying track, and a dry but windy endurance race. In the battle against the clock, championship leader after the opening round at Circuit Zolder, Tristan Clay (NGT Racing), claimed the first pole position. Levent Türkmen (MDM Motorsport) set the fastest time in the second qualifying session, both driving a Porsche 911 GT3 Cup Type 992.

In the Porsche Cayman GT4 Class, the fastest qualifying times went to Philipp Thomas and Marc van der Poel, both competing in a Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 Clubsport entered by Team GP Elite.

Clay opens with victory, Hunter strikes back

The first race, held on the drying asphalt of Circuit Zandvoort, delivered intense racing. Tristan Clay secured his third victory of the season, but by a margin of just seven-tenths of a second over his closest rival, Nick Hunter (Team GP Elite). Levent Türkmen joined them on the podium in third place, while the gap to fourth-placed Ivan Dobik (HADECA Racing) was only one-tenth of a second.

“Obviously, I’m very happy with this new victory,” said winner Tristan Clay. “Especially in these difficult and challenging conditions. We’ll be aiming for more!”

In the Porsche Cayman GT4 Class, victory went to Belle Rappange (Team GP Elite) after a fine battle with Philipp Thomas. Marco van der Poel finished third.

In the second race, Nick Hunter claimed his first win of the season, “something that feels really good,” ahead of Levent Türkmen and Ivan Dobik. Peter Bonk (PB Performance) finished fourth. Tristan Clay, meanwhile, made a small mistake and had to settle for sixth place.

Once again, Belle Rappange took victory in the Porsche Cayman GT4 Class, ahead of Marco van der P

oel and Philipp Thomas.

“This is fantastic, I’m really enjoying this!” beamed a clearly delighted Belle Rappange after collecting her second winner’s trophy of the meeting. “In two days, I’ll also make my debut in the Porsche Endurance Trophy Benelux, again in a Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 Clubsport. It’s a particularly enjoyable car to race.”

Hunter doubles up, Dobik shines

And with two wins already under his belt, Nick Hunter clearly had no intention of stopping in the longer race of the day. After 45 minutes, he crossed the finish line once again as the winner, ahead of Levent Türkmen and Ivan Dobik.

The Ramshorst-Bonk duo finished fourth, ahead of Philipp Thomas, who prevented Belle Rappange from completing a hat-trick of victories in the Porsche Cayman GT4 Class. Rappange now also leads the standings in her category.

Another highlight was the double podium finish for fifteen-year-old Ivan Dobik: “I really like this circuit and I’m happy with the two podium finishes!”

In the Porsche GT3 Cup Class, Tristan Clay remains the championship leader.

The Porsche Sprint Challenge Benelux will return to Circuit Zandvoort for its next round on Thursday, July 9.
