  • ART Racing claims first win of the season and finishes as runner-up behind Belgium Racing

  • Porsche drivers also dominate the supporting classifications of the Belcar Endurance Championship

Zonhoven, 20 October 2026. The Porsche Endurance Trophy Benelux brought an intense 2026 season to a close at Circuit Zolder. The final race, held just over a month and a half after a highly successful 48th edition of the 24 Hours of Zolder, went to the #2 Porsche 911 GT3 Cup – Type 992 – of ART Racing after an exciting battle. The fast trio of Benjamin Paque, Christoff Corten and Lorenzo Donniacuo shared driving duties. With this first win of the season, ART Racing also secured second place in the championship, behind the #99 Belgium Racing Porsche of Dylan Derdaele, Nicolas Saelens and Paul Meijer. That trio had already been crowned 2026 champions in both the Porsche Endurance Trophy Benelux and the Belcar Endurance Championship following the 24 Hours of Zolder.

The final round of the Porsche Endurance Trophy Benelux took place at Circuit Zolder as part of a busy race weekend featuring the Belcar Endurance Championship, the Porsche Carrera Cup Benelux and NASCAR Euro Series.

Belgium Racing takes pole position, ART Racing wins finale

The newly crowned champions from Belgium Racing came out on top in the battle for pole position. The #99 Porsche of Dylan Derdaele, Nicolas Saelens and Paul Meijer set the fastest time, thanks to a lap by Paul Meijer in under one minute and thirty seconds. The experienced Dutch driver was also taking on a double programme, competing in both races of the Porsche Carrera Cup Benelux. Meijer saw Benjamin Paque (#2 ART Racing) and Kaï Rillaerts (#98 Belgium Racing) finish less than a second off pole position, in second and third respectively.

The race itself, held on freezing cold but dry asphalt, saw Christoff Corten, Benjamin Paque's teammate, immediately take the lead, with Dylan Derdaele close behind. What followed was an entertaining duel between the two Porsche 911 GT3 Cup – Type 992 – cars of the pole-sitters from Belgium Racing and ART Racing, with Lorenzo Donniacuo also taking the wheel alongside Paque and Corten. The outcome remained undecided until the closing stages, when ART Racing ultimately celebrated its first Porsche victory of the season.

“We gave it absolutely everything and managed to keep the champions behind us,” said a delighted Benjamin Paque on the podium after the race. “This victory is the result of hard work, an enormous effort from everyone in the team and a faultless race, following a superb start by Christoff.”

ART Racing thus secured the runner-up title in both the Porsche Endurance Trophy Benelux and the national Belcar Endurance Championship.

Dylan Derdaele, Nicolas Saelens and Paul Meijer finished second, just 38 seconds behind, while the #98 Belgium Racing Porsche of Michael Cool, Brent Verheyen and Kaï Rillaerts crossed the line in third, only five seconds behind the second-placed car. The #98 also secured third place in the final championship standings.

The Meurrens family, with Nick, Tom and Steve, finished fourth, ahead of the #747 Belgium Racing Porsche of Olivier Bertels, Sita Vanmeert and Jarne Geussens.

Porsche drivers also successful in the supporting classifications

“It is also worth noting that Sita Vanmeert wins the Ladies Trophy in the Belcar Endurance Championship, Kaï Rillaerts, also racing a Porsche, takes the Junior Trophy, and Dirk Van Rompuy, likewise at the wheel of a Porsche, claims the Legend Trophy,” added Series Manager Rudi Penders. “Our drivers and teams are perfect ambassadors for the brand. Alongside the titles, they also secured five overall victories in the national endurance championship Belcar, including the superb win by D’Ieteren Luxury Performance by NGT at the 48th edition of the 24 Hours of Zolder.”

With multiple titles, five overall victories in the Belcar Endurance Championship and a strong field of competitors, the Porsche Endurance Trophy Benelux can look back on a highly successful 2026 season. Attention now turns to 2027, when Porsche will once again aim to play a leading role in Belgian endurance racing.
