Zandvoort, 9 July 2026. Drivers and teams enjoyed a beautiful summer's day during the third round of the Porsche Sprint Challenge Benelux at the Dutch North Sea coast. Circuit Zandvoort once again hosted two sprint races and a longer race featuring a mandatory pit stop.

Zandvoort appeared on the Porsche Sprint Challenge Benelux calendar for the second time this season. While the first event at the beginning of June was contested in changeable spring conditions, the championship's return to the iconic circuit through the dunes took place under glorious summer temperatures.

Race 1: Nick Hunter opens the day with another victory

Although Karl Vandewoestyne and Florian Latorre secured a qualifying double for 2B Autosport, the opening race unfolded differently. Racing for Team GP Elite, Nick Hunter claimed victory, repeating his success from the first Zandvoort meeting of the season. Hunter crossed the line with a small advantage over championship leader Pierre Clay (NGT Racing). Young talent Ivan Dobik (HADECA Racing) impressed with third place, finishing just a few seconds behind the leading duo. Levent Türkmen (MDM Motorsport) and debutant Wouter Manderveld (Mama's Nightmare) completed the top five.

In the Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 Clubsport class, the fastest qualifying times were set by Philipp Thomas and Han Sikkens, both representing Team GP Elite. Thomas came out on top in the opening race, finishing the 25-minute contest with a margin of just over ten seconds over his closest rival, Han Sikkens.

Race 2: Ivan Dobik strikes back in the second sprint

The second 25-minute race once again delivered plenty of excitement. This time it was young Ivan Dobik who took the chequered flag after fifteen laps, finishing just under one and a half seconds ahead of another strong performance from Nick Hunter. Pierre Clay tried to stay with the leading pair but eventually had to settle for third, fifteen seconds behind the winner. Wouter Manderveld and Levent Türkmen swapped positions compared to Race 1, once again completing the top five.

In the Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 Clubsport class, victory went to Kees Sikkens (Team GP Elite), who held Philipp Thomas at bay by just one second.

Race 3: Pierre Clay crowns strong weekend and remains championship leader

The concluding longer race featuring a mandatory pit stop produced yet another different winner. After victories for Hunter and Dobik earlier in the day, it was Pierre Clay who stood on the top step of the podium. The French rookie also heads into the summer break as leader of the championship standings.

Clay finished ahead of Dobik and Hunter, while Wouter Manderveld, Caspar Hogeboom (Team GP Elite) and Levent Türkmen secured fourth, fifth and sixth respectively.

Philipp Thomas claimed another victory in the Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 Clubsport class and remains firmly in contention for an overall top-three championship finish. Nick Hunter also retains his place among the top three in the standings. The Sikkens brothers finished second in class.

Following a successful day of racing at Circuit Zandvoort, the drivers and teams now head into the summer break. The Porsche Sprint Challenge Benelux season resumes at the beginning of autumn at the iconic Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps in the Belgian Ardennes. The event will take place as part of the Spa Six Hours, one of Europe's most prestigious historic motorsport events.
