  • Belgium Racing has already secured the title, but the battle for the remaining podium positions remains wide open

  • ART Racing targets its first victory, while the GT Sport title fight is also set to go down to the wire

Zonhoven, 14 October 2026. This coming weekend, the 2026 edition of the Porsche Endurance Trophy Benelux will come to a close at Circuit Zolder in Limburg. The final round of the Porsche Endurance Trophy Benelux forms part of the season finale of the Belcar Endurance Championship, Belgium’s national endurance racing series, in which Porsche has once again enjoyed considerable success this season. Belgium Racing, with Dylan Derdaele, Nicolas Saelens and Paul Meijer, has already secured the Belgian title, but the battle behind the championship-winning trio is far from over.

More than a month after D’Ieteren Luxury Performance by NGT claimed a resounding victory at the 48th edition of the 24 Hours of Zolder, the Porsche Endurance Trophy Benelux is now heading towards its season finale. A three-hour race, held during a weekend that also features the final round of the Porsche Carrera Cup Benelux, will determine the final results of the competition. Circuit Zolder will therefore provide the setting for an intense final weekend, with the various Porsche championships awarding their last championship points of the season.

Belgium Racing targets strong finish, ART Racing aims for first victory

Belgium Racing has already secured a second consecutive title, following a particularly strong season from Dylan Derdaele, Nicolas Saelens and Paul Meijer. The trio claimed three victories in the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup (992.1) and also secured an impressive third place in the Zolder endurance classic. The title is already in the bag, but the team will undoubtedly be looking to finish the season in style, preferably with another victory.

Behind them, however, an intense battle for the remaining podium positions is unfolding between the two other Porsche 911 GT3 Cup (992.1) cars entered by Belgium Racing: the #98 of Michael Cool, Brent Verheyen and Kaï Rillaerts, and the #747 of Olivier Bertels and Sita Vanmeert. ART Racing is also in contention, with Benjamin Paque, Christoff Corten and Lorenzo Donniacuo sharing the driving duties.

The team running the red Porsche is clearly targeting its first victory, having secured no fewer than three second-place finishes earlier this season, including silver at the 24 Hours of Zolder. The pace has been there throughout the season, but that final bit of luck needed to reach the top step of the podium has so far eluded the team. The finale at Circuit Zolder offers one last opportunity to change that.

NGT Racing, with Ian Gepts, Benjamin De Cock and Alex De Schepper, and MM Racing, featuring brothers Mick, Steve and Tom Meurrens, will also be looking to round off their seasons with a podium finish. In a three-hour race where not only outright pace but also strategy, consistency and flawless teamwork play a crucial role, surprises are never out of the question. And who knows what the weather has in store in mid-October?

Plenty still at stake in GT Sport

Porsche also has a strong contender in the GT Sport class, with the VR Racing by NGT Racing Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport driven by Mauro Polderman, Dirk Van Rompuy and Glenn Van Parijs. Alongside another class victory, the trio is targeting the national GT Sport title. With so much at stake, a strong result in the finale could provide the perfect conclusion to an impressive season.

The final event of the season

Pre-Qualifying takes place on Saturday, with a one-hour practice session scheduled from 14:45 to 15:45, while the battle for pole position will exceptionally be held on Sunday. From 12:15, drivers will have 30 minutes to fight for the best possible starting positions. The three-hour season finale will then get underway at 14:45.

After 180 minutes of racing, the final winners of the 2026 season will be crowned, bringing the Porsche Endurance Trophy Benelux campaign to a definitive close.
