As autumn arrives, here’s a preview of Porsche Motorsport’s activities in October.

The end of the calendar year is approaching, which means that several championships will end in October.

The IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship heads to Road Atlanta for the season finale, Petit Le Mans, on October 8.

Porsche Penske Motorsport has the chance to retain its drivers' and teams' world championship titles, while Porsche remains at the top of the manufacturers' standings.

The DTM heads to the Hockenheimring from October 3 to 5 for the final round of the 2025 season, with Manthey leading the teams' championship.

On the other side of the Atlantic, the International GT Challenge will also conclude its season from October 16 to 18 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

Formula E is currently on hiatus following the Season 11 finale in London in July. The all-electric championship will resume in December.

Here's a complete overview of all Porsche Motorsport activities in October:

IMSA: Petit Le Mans

The IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship reaches its climax at Road Atlanta this month, with the iconic Petit Le Mans on October 11.

Located in the heart of Georgia, this 4.088 km / 2.540 mi, 12-turn circuit is very hilly, with steep climbs and fast descents, making it a fan favorite.

Lasting 10 hours, or 1,000 km, Petit Le Mans is a grueling battle that concludes another exciting series of the American sports car classic.

Porsche Penske Motorsport dominates the drivers' championship, with the #6 pairing of Matt Campbell and Mathieu Jaminet leading with 2582 points, while the #7 entry shared by Felipe Nasr and Nick Tandy is at 2451.

Porsche Penske Motorsport also occupies first and second place in the teams' standings, and Porsche currently leads the manufacturers' standings ahead of Acura by 7 points.

DTM: Hockenheimring

After seven rounds and 14 exhilarating races, the DTM prepares for its final event at the Hockenheimring, from October 3 to 5.

The famous Baden-Württemberg circuit will host two new races to determine the champion of ADAC's premier series.

After hosting Formula 1 and the Motorcycle Grand Prix, the 4.574 km circuit features 17 corners and is almost entirely flat.

Nine drivers - including Porsche pair Ayhancan Güven and Thomas Preining - are still in contention for the coveted title with one round to go.

In the team standings, Manthey EMA leads by 16 points in its battle to regain the crown it last held in 2023.

This race weekend also marks the end of the Porsche Sixt Carrera Cup Deutschland season - its eighth round, and races 15 and 16 of 2025.

Fresh from his Porsche Supercup title, Junior Alessandro Ghiretti currently leads the standings with 231 points with two races to go, closely followed by Robert de Haan (219 points).

IGTC: 8 hours of Indianapolis

The International GT Challenge heads to the legendary Brickyard from October 16 to 18 for the season finale: the 8 Hours of Indianapolis.

Held for the first time in 2020, this was the first sports car endurance race to be held on the famous circuit, usually known for the Indy 500 and NASCAR's Brickyard 400.

The race takes place on the site's road circuit, also used by the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship for its "Battle on the Bricks".

Porsche is currently second in the manufacturers' standings, 18 points behind BMW, and will be fighting hard to retain its crown from 2024.

In the drivers' standings, Alessio Picariello is currently fifth with 45 points, having competed in three of the four rounds, with Kévin Estre close behind in seventh after two participations.
