Heading into Spring, here’s a preview of Porsche activities in March.

A new month and another endurance classic, as the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship heads to Sebring this month for the iconic 12 Hours of Sebring.

Porsche Penske Motorsport will once again challenge for overall glory at the Florida endurance classic, the second round on the IMSA calendar.

In Esports, the Porsche TAG Heuer Esports Supercup continues, with two more rounds of the seven-event calendar taking place this month.

The all-new mid-season tournament at the Sachsenring will give fans an opportunity to join the All-Stars Series grid, before the fierce competition continues at Thruxton later in the month.

Here’s a full preview of all the Porsche motorsport activities taking place in March:

IMSA: Mobil1 12 Hours of Sebring

After a stunning victory in January’s 24 Hours of Daytona, Porsche Penske Motorsport returns to Florida for the Mobil1 12 Hours of Sebring on March 15.

Heading back to the Sunshine State, the #7 car, driven by Felipe Nasr and Nick Tandy, leads the IMSA drivers’ standings, having claimed the team’s second consecutive Daytona victory at the season opener.

The duo will once again be joined by Laurens Vanthoor for the 12-hour race, as he participates in IMSA’s Endurance Cup races alongside his full-time World Endurance Championship campaign.

The #6 car, shared by full-time pairing Matt Campbell and Mathieu Jaminet, is third overall after a podium finish at Daytona. Kévin Estre returns to race alongside them, as he did at Daytona.

The #7 car finished third last year, driven by Campbell, Nasr and Dane Cameron, and the team will be hoping to improve on that result this year.

Porsche has 18 wins at Sebring - more than any other manufacturer - the most recent of which came with Penske Racing in 2008 at the hands of Timo Bernhard, Romain Dumas and Emmanuel Collard.

Sebring marks the second round of IMSA’s 11-round calendar, and is the second part of the five-race Michelin Endurance Cup.

Esports: Porsche TAG Heuer Esports Supercup by iRacing

The seventh running of the Porsche TAG Heuer Esports Supercup by iRacing continues in March, with 30 of the fastest sim racers all competing for a share of the $200,000 prize pot.

Red Bull Sim Racing driver Cooper Webster, who came fourth last year, is leading the drivers’ championship after three rounds.

Hot on his heels are other recognisable names including Alejandro Sánchez, Luke McKeown, Chris Lulham and 2022 champion Diogo Pinto.

With the first three events at Daytona, Spa and Mugello complete, the championship heads to the Sachsenring on March 8 for its all new Mid-Season Tournament.

This will give fans an opportunity to join the All-Stars Series grid, and race alongside some of the fastest iRacing content creators and real-world drivers including former IndyCar driver Tony Kanaan.

Porsche drivers Campbell, Ayhancan Güven, Laurin Heinrich, Bastian Buus and the wildcard winner will also line up on the grid.

Round 5 takes place on March 29 at Thruxton, before the final two rounds at Fuji International Speedway and the Circuit de 24 Heures du Mans in April.

Each round has a qualifying session and a sprint race, followed by a longer feature race. The sprint winner secures 25 points, with 50 points going to the driver in first place in the feature race.

All rounds of the Porsche TAG Heuer Esports Supercup by iRacing will be shown live on the Porsche Twitch channel.
