Porsche Rally Trophy Benelux calendar announced: five demanding asphalt rallies across Western Europe

Major milestone for the RGT category in rallying and for Prospeed

Zonhoven, 9 December 2026. The 911 Rally GT, the homologated rally kit based on the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup – Type 992.1 –, will form the core of a completely new single-make competition from 2026 onwards: the world’s first official Rally Porsche One-Make Series (OMS). This marks an important milestone for rallying and for Prospeed, which expands its professional activities from circuit racing into the rallying domain.

The 911 Rally GT kit was developed by Lionel Hansen, initiated by the RACB, with a clear objective: to create full homologation enabling the transition from individual conversion projects to a uniform, controlled championship. “From day one, we aimed to build a car that delivers identical performance and the same technical baseline everywhere,” explains Lionel Hansen. “It makes the competition fairer, more transparent, and elevates the sport to a higher level, in line with what Porsche has been doing on the circuit.”

To date, twenty kits have been sold, and 911 Rally GTs are already competing in several countries, achieving strong national results, including a Belgian RGT title and three overall victories in the Belgian Rally Championship, most recently the season finale at the Spa Rally. Drivers consistently praise the car’s predictable balance, powerful performance and renowned reliability, typical for the Porsche 911 range. “A One-Make Series is the natural next step: all competitors run identical machinery, under strict scrutineering and a clear technical rulebook. In this format, the driver makes the difference — and only the best will win,” adds Yves Matton, Project Manager Porsche Rally Trophy Benelux.

Prospeed enters the rally stages

From the inaugural season onwards, Prospeed will provide full technical and sporting support, including spare parts service at events, as is standard for all Porsche one-make series. “For us, this is a logical expansion of our activities,” says Rudi Penders, Managing Director of Prospeed. “Rallying will now benefit from a professional structure comparable to what we have offered on the circuit for many years.

The 911 Rally GT is based on a homologated conversion kit transforming the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup car into a full rally machine: a modified roll cage, underbody protection, revised gearbox ratios, identical wheel dimensions front and rear, adapted steering, newly developed suspension and a cockpit fully configured for co-driver involvement. The package combines modern safety standards with strong performance and offers technical advantages such as ABS and traction control.

With the launch of the series – and the continued growth of the 911 Rally GT fleet – a new step is taken in the professionalisation of the RGT category. The world’s first official Rally Porsche OMS is now a reality, opening the door to a rapidly expanding discipline within international rallying.

A demanding and diverse calendar

The calendar for the first edition of the Porsche Rally Trophy Benelux immediately illustrates the ambition of the project. The series opens at the end of April with Rallye de Wallonie, followed by two major fixtures on the Belgian and international rally scene: the Ardeca Ypres Rally and the GTC Rally in the Netherlands. In August, the Saarland-Pfalz Rallye joins the programme, strategically expanding the Benelux-based framework and placing the 911 Rally GT in a competitive German environment. The season concludes at the end of September with the East Belgian Rally, a technical event renowned as one of Belgium’s most demanding rallies.

The mix of fast asphalt events and shorter, technically challenging rallies makes the calendar perfectly suited to showcase the full potential of the 911 Rally GT. For teams and partners, the season offers broad geographic visibility within the Benelux region and a natural connection to one of Europe’s strongest rally territories.

* All new vehicles offered by Porsche are type-approved according to WLTP. Official NEDC values derived from WLTP values are no longer available for new vehicles as of 1 January 2023 and can therefore not be provided.

Where values are indicated as ranges, they do not refer to a single, specific vehicle and are not part of the offered product range. They are only for the purposes of comparison between different vehicle tyrpes. Additional equipment and accessories (add-on parts, tyre formats etc.) can change relevant vehicle parameters such as weight, rolling resistance and aerodynamics. These factors, in addition to weather, traffic conditions and driving behaviour, can influence the fuel/electricity consumption, CO₂ emissions, range and performance values of a vehicle.
