Porsche Coanda Esports Racing Team have recruited championship-winning driver Jordan Caruso to join their roster ahead of the 2025 Porsche Esports Supercup.
The 2023 Porsche Esports Supercup champion has joined from Altus Esports to be a full-time works driver.
Caruso burst onto the Porsche Esports Supercup scene just three years ago with two podium finishes in the Contender Series held in 2021.
From there, the improvement was staggering as he finished 18th in the 2022 Porsche Esports Supercup, before winning the championship in 2023.
He secured the title early, wrapping it up after the Monza sprint race having outscored previous champion Sebastian Job by 68 points.
The Australian was unable to make it back to back titles in 2024, but still had a strong season as he finished third in the standings and claimed four podium finishes including a race victory.
He will be filling the position vacated by Mitchell deJong, as the American switches into a reserve driver role.
“I feel truly privileged to be racing for Porsche.” Caruso said after announcing his team switch.
“They are at the pinnacle of motorsport and sim racing, so it brings me great pride to be able to represent them doing something that I love.”
Caruso stepped into the world of sim racing at 14 years old, but didn’t race competitively until five years ago when he was 19.
However, his racing career stretches back much further than that, first competing in karting at seven years old and accruing a number of real-world racing accomplishments.
Caruso is a nine-time Karting State champion, Karting Australia Vice National champion, Hyundai Excel State champion and in 2022 he was crowned the Sports Sedan National champion.
In addition to his time in the Porsche Esports Supercup, he has raced in the IMSA Esports Global Championship, the INDYCAR iRacing Pro Series and the Supercars E-Series.
Across his three years racing in Supercars E-Series, he claimed a best championship finishing position of fourth in 2022 and ended his campaign with a second place result, behind only his now Porsche Coanda team-mate Dayne Warren.
Aside from Caruso replacing deJong as a full-time works driver, the rest of the Porsche Coanda Esports Racing Team remains unchanged heading into 2025.
That includes the same drivers that won $25,000 as a team in this year’s ESL R1 event in the Esports World Cup: Joshua Rogers, Dayne Warren and Charlie Collins.
Rogers also finished sixth overall in the drivers’ championship in ESL R1, but his main focus for the coming year will be reclaiming his Porsche Esports Supercup crown.
After sitting out the 2024 season, the two-time champion has earned his place back on the grid for 2025 by taking four race wins and the outright points victory in the contender series.
Joining him will be Dayne Warren, who comfortably qualified back on to the Porsche Esports Supercup grid. He’ll be hoping to build on the success of his 2022 campaign in the championship, where he claimed two pole positions, two race wins and a fastest lap.
It is set to be another exciting Esports campaign for the Porsche Coanda Esports Racing Team with PESC champion Caruso bound to add more accolades to his name in 2025.
