Porsche will be represented by a second team in the DTM for 2026, with Land-Motorsport joining Manthey in the championship.

There will still be three Porsche 911 GT3 R on the grid, as there was in 2025, but this time reigning champion Manthey will run two entries, while Land joins after a decade with Audi to run one car.

Former Porsche Junior Bastian Buus will drive for Land, with Manthey fielding 2023 DTM champion Thomas Preining alongside new addition Ricardo Feller.

The 2026 DTM season kicks off at the Red Bull Ring on April 24-26 for the first round of eight, before heading to Zandvoort Circuit in the Netherlands for round two.

The championship then returns to Germany for the remaining six outings, with the final round at Hockenheimring from October 9-11.

The champions return: Manthey fights for second consecutive title

Manthey will field two Porsche 911 GT3 R in the new season of the ADAC sprint series, returning as the reigning teams’ and drivers’ champions.

Preining will once again drive the #91 car, as he has for the past three years. It is his fourth year with Manthey in the DTM, and together with the team, the Austrian has already won six times and secured an additional ten podium finishes.

Ricardo Feller is a new addition to Manthey's DTM team and will pilot the #90 car.

He made his debut for Manthey in January at the 24 Hours of Daytona in the Grello Porsche.

The Swiss driver will bring three victories and seven podium finishes from his four years of DTM experience to the team in 2026.

Nicolas Raeder, Managing Director of Manthey, said: "2025 was an extraordinarily successful year for us in the DTM.

“Seven victories, four additional podium places and three championship titles – it's still unbelievable to me what we were able to achieve as a team, and I'm incredibly proud.

“However, we haven't rested on our past successes, we want to start the new season just as well prepared and motivated.

“I'm excited to see what we can accomplish together with Thomas and Ricardo.”

A new addition: Land-Motorsport joins the fold

Land-Motorsport will join the Porsche family for its second season in the DTM, having previously spent a decade with Audi.

The effort will be spearheaded by top talent Bastian Buus, who has a wealth of experience racing with Porsche.

The Dane has already lifted numerous trophies in Porsche one-make series – including a title win in the 2023 Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup as a Porsche Junior at the age of just 20.

Christian Land and his team already showed that they have what it takes to be successful, with the team securing one race win and multiple podium finishes over the course of the last season.

Land said: “We are very proud to remain part of the DTM moving into the new season and firmly believe that we have a strong package in partnership with Porsche.

“In our debut season we demonstrated that we can be right up at the sharp end of the field, and that’s something we will be looking to build on in 2026.

“With Bastian we have a young driver who brings a lot of talent to the table.”

2025 recap

After eight rollercoaster rounds, Ayhancan Güven and Manthey emerged victorious to claim both the drivers’ and teams' titles in the 2025 Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters season.

The new-look line-up of Preining, Güven and Morris Schuring had an immediate race-winning impact in the season-opening round at Oschersleben.

The trio scored a solid haul of points in the opening race before Güven took his maiden series win in the second, with Preining completing the podium in third-place.

At the third round at Zandvoort, Güven did it again, climbing to the top step of the podium in race one in a turbulent fifth race of the season. In race two, Preining returned to the rostrum with another third-place finish.

Over the following four rounds, Manthey soared, then came back down to earth, twice over.

First came Norisring, where Preining thrived to take second place in the first contest before claiming his third DTM win at the track in four years on the Sunday.

At the Sachsenring in August, Güven became the first back-to-back race winner since 2023.

Finally came the Hockenheimring for a thrilling showdown, with nine drivers in contention for the title at the start of the weekend.

Preining went from outside contender to one of the title favourites by driving a spectacular race on Saturday in very wet conditions.

With Preining now second, three points behind leader Auer, and Güven fifth, Manthey entered the final race as the only team with two drivers in title contention. It had also wrapped up the teams' crown earlier in the day in qualifying.

It looked like Güven was set for the title before a sudden safety car meant he would need to pass Marco Wittmann, BMW's two-time DTM champion.

A sensational move to clinch victory on the final lap meant Güven had done it - making him the first Turkish driver to win the DTM title and helping Manthey to another teams’ title.
