Title fight remains wide open during penultimate round of the season
Three newcomers take on the established field
Zonhoven, Thursday 10 September 2026. The final stretch of the 2026 Porsche Carrera Cup Benelux season is now in sight, with the fastest one-make cup in the Benelux heading to its penultimate round of the season this weekend. Teams and drivers will travel to Hockenheim in Germany, as part of the German round of the International GT Open. The battle promises to be intense across all categories at the former F1 circuit, with several newcomers also set to take on the established names.
The 2026 Porsche Carrera Cup Benelux is four race weekends into the season, and the standings say a lot about the intensity of the championship so far. In the overall standings, as well as among theRookies and teams, nothing has been decided yet.
Marczak and Van Lagen separated by just five points
Milan Marczak leads the overall standings after three victories in eight races, with a total of 152 points. Marczak holds a narrow five-point advantage over his closest rival Jaap Van Lagen (Team RaceArt), who has also claimed three victories this season. Alexander Reimann (Quanloop EST1 Racing) occupies third place in the championship, exactly 30 points behind the leader. With 102 points still available, Reimann is certainly still in contention for the title. The Estonian has already scored the maximum number of points twice in a race this season.
In the PRO category, Felix Neuhofer makes his comeback to the Porsche Carrera Cup Benelux. Neuhofer has meanwhile claimed several victories in the Porsche Sports Cup Germany and also won the 24 Hours of Portimão. In Hockenheim, he will compete in the colours of [a-workx] by KATANA Tools.
Everything remains possible in the Rookie standings
The battle for the Rookie lead is equally exciting. David Dziwok (Team GP Elite) leads the standings with 152 points and four victories, compared to 146 points for Joep Breedveld (Team RaceArt). Breedveld has one win to his name and has also finished second four times.
Behind the leading duo, a trio is still very much in contention. Joep Muller (Muller Racing by JW) has 118 points, Henry Wheeler ([a-workx] by KATANA Tools) 113 and Arthur Peters (Team RaceArt) 108.
No fewer than nine Rookies will line up in Hockenheim. Among them is newcomer Jan Antoszewski (Jachu Racing), who has already enjoyed success in the Porsche Sports Cup Germany.
In PRO-AM, the title fight has already been decided. Jani Käkelä (39 Racing) was crowned champion during the previous event in Assen. In Hockenheim, he will face a new challenger in the form of Tze Yang Moh (JW Race Service).
The battle among the teams is also still wide open. Quanloop EST1 Racing leads the standings with 212 points, just ten points ahead of Team RaceArt.
Two races on Saturday and Sunday
Free practice is scheduled for Friday 12 September, with two 40-minute sessions at 9:10 and 14:16. On Saturday 13 September, qualifying at 11:45 will open the action, followed by the first race at 16:55. The second race will take place on Sunday at 11:35.
