The Porsche Sixt Carrera Cup Deutschland heads into the next round of the 2026 season from 22 to 24 May. As part of the DTM, races seven and eight of the championship will take place at Circuit Zandvoort in the Netherlands.
Located directly on the North Sea coast, the traditional venue is regarded as one of the most spectacular circuits on the calendar of the German one-make cup thanks to its numerous crests, elevation changes and iconic banked corners. Surrounded by expansive dunes and situated just a few metres from the beach, the Formula 1 circuit promises an exciting Whitsun weekend. Both races will be broadcast live on the Porsche Motorsport Hub as well as on the Facebook and YouTube channels of the Porsche Sixt Carrera Cup Deutschland. In addition, the races can be watched live on Joyn, the streaming platform of TV partner ProSieben.
Fans in Zandvoort are especially looking forward to seeing Porsche Junior Flynt Schuring (Schumacher CLRT). The Dutch driver from Groenekan arrives at his home event full of confidence following a perfect weekend in Spa-Francorchamps. The 19-year-old secured both pole positions and two victories in the Belgian Ardennes, celebrating his third consecutive win in the process. Schuring is now aiming to continue his strong form in front of his home crowd at Zandvoort.
Alongside Schuring, six more Dutch drivers will be in the spotlight during the Zandvoort weekend. The local favourites include full-season drivers Wouter Boerekamps, Nick Ho (both Team GP Elite), Sam Jongejan (Team75 Bernhard), Niels Langeveld (Laptime-Performance) and Dirk Schouten (Looping by CarTech). In addition, Niels Troost from Team GP Elite will join the grid as a guest driver.
Theo Oeverhaus (D/ID Racing) arrives in Zandvoort as the current championship leader. The 21-year-old from Osnabrück is followed in the standings by Alexander Tauscher (D/Target) from Mitterfels in second place and South Africa’s Keagan Masters (Proton Competition) in third. Talent Pool driver Chester Kieffer (L/Schumacher CLRT) currently leads the rookie classification, while Sören Spreng (GP Elite) from Iserlohn tops the ProAm standings.
The race weekend begins on Friday with a one-hour free practice session from 10:45 to 11:45 (CEST). The split qualifying session takes place later that day from 17:20 to 17:55 (CEST). The two 30-minute races will start at 11:28 (CEST) on both Saturday and Sunday.
The 4.259-kilometre Circuit Zandvoort runs directly through the dune landscape along the Dutch North Sea coast and impresses with its unique layout. The circuit is characterised by fast corners, gravel traps instead of asphalt run-off areas and the two banked corners “Hugenholtzbocht” and “Arie Luyendykbocht”. In addition, wind and sand regularly create changing track conditions.
