From 19 to 21 June, the Porsche Sixt Carrera Cup Deutschland returns to the Dekra Lausitzring for the first time since 2023. As part of the DTM programme, races nine and ten of the 2026 season will take place at the traditional circuit in Schipkau.

Overall standings leader Alexander Tauscher (Target) from Mitterfels arrives at the Lausitzring aiming to extend his advantage at the top of the championship. The 3.478-kilometre circuit, featuring twelve corners, challenges the drivers with a combination of high-speed sections, heavy braking zones and technically demanding parts of the track. Both races will be broadcast live on the Porsche Motorsport Hub and on the Porsche Sixt Carrera Cup Deutschland Facebook and YouTube channels. In addition, the races will be shown on Joyn, the streaming platform of TV partner ProSieben.

Particular excitement surrounds Jonas Greif (GP Elite). For the Dresden native, the race weekend will be a home event. The 25-year-old lives just 63 kilometres from the Dekra Lausitzring and can therefore look forward to support from numerous friends, family members, partners and sponsors. Following the halfway point of the season in Zandvoort, Greif is aiming for a strong result on home soil and valuable championship points in the German one-make cup.

Alexander Tauscher heads to the Lausitzring with momentum on his side. The 23-year-old celebrated his first victory of the season in Zandvoort and leads the overall standings after eight of 16 races. Behind him are Porsche Junior Flynt Schuring (Schumacher CLRT) from the Netherlands and Theo Oeverhaus (ID Racing) from Osnabrück. Talent Pool driver Chester Kieffer (L/Schumacher CLRT) tops the Rookie classification after six consecutive class victories. In the ProAm category, Michael Essmann (D/Team75 Bernhard) leads the standings.

The weekend begins on Friday with a one-hour free practice session from 10:25 to 11:25. In the afternoon, the drivers will battle for the best grid positions in a split qualifying session from 15:20 to 15:55. Race nine of the season is scheduled for Saturday from 11:08 to 11:38. On Sunday, race ten will take place from 11:28 to 11:58.

The Dekra Lausitzring boasts a long motorsport tradition and is regarded as one of Germany’s most renowned racing circuits. With its varied combinations of corners and numerous overtaking opportunities, the track promises thrilling battles and intense fights for position. Following two eventful races on the Dutch North Sea coast, fans in Brandenburg can also look forward to exciting one-make cup action featuring the 520 hp Porsche 911 Cup.
