Technical Customer Support Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup

THE RACE CAR WHISPERER

The Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup would be nothing without its powerful 911 GT3 Cup car. Since 2019, Dominik Quosdorf has played a supporting role for the teams, ensuring that all the technical subtleties work as intended.

Why the Porsche Supercup is special to me...

My job is to keep track of all the technical issues that affect the cars. I coordinate the different areas such as radio, fuel, technical control and technical support for the teams. The technical support for the teams is done by Schnabl Engineering, and I assist them especially when it comes to the finer details. Also, I conduct in-depth troubleshooting and further testing of the cars; basically, I am the eyes and ears of the development engineers at the factory.

The performance of each generation’s race car is planned down to the last detail by our development engineers at the factory. We know how fast we want the car to go. And we think we are very close to that target. During the development phase, we are not looking for peak performance, but for the most reliable package without incurring higher running costs for the customers due to the shorter running times or increased wear and tear on the car.

* All new vehicles offered by Porsche are type-approved according to WLTP. Official NEDC values derived from WLTP values are no longer available for new vehicles as of 1 January 2023 and can therefore not be provided.

Where values are indicated as ranges, they do not refer to a single, specific vehicle and are not part of the offered product range. They are only for the purposes of comparison between different vehicle tyrpes. Additional equipment and accessories (add-on parts, tyre formats etc.) can change relevant vehicle parameters such as weight, rolling resistance and aerodynamics. These factors, in addition to weather, traffic conditions and driving behaviour, can influence the fuel/electricity consumption, CO₂ emissions, range and performance values of a vehicle.

More information about the differences between WLTP and NEDC is available at www.porsche.com/wltp.
