A tribute to Porsche’s enduring motorsport legacy

The Porsche Carrera World Cup is more than a race — it is a tribute to Porsche’s enduring motorsport legacy, a high-profile gathering of drivers, teams, and enthusiasts from across the globe. Designed to unite the Porsche One-Make racing community on an international stage, the World Cup combines world-class competition with the spirit of a true motorsport festival.

At the heart of the event lies a commitment to heritage, excellence, and global unity — values that have shaped Porsche Motorsport for decades.

A Legendary Comeback

The 2026 Porsche Carrera World Cup marks a long-awaited return of one of the most iconic events in the brand’s history. The last official running of the Porsche Carrera World Cup took place in 2011, when an unprecedented 98 Porsche 911 GT3 Cup cars took to the grid at the legendary Nürburgring Nordschleife. That race, held as part of the 24 Hours of Nürburgring weekend, was a visual and emotional highlight that etched itself into the memory of motorsport fans around the world.

It was a celebration of Porsche’s unique customer racing culture, demonstrating how a single-make concept could bring together such a massive and diverse grid in one thrilling event. The 2011 edition became a benchmark — a symbol of what Porsche Motorsport could achieve when it unites its worldwide network.

Now, 15 years later, the 2026 edition of the Porsche Carrera World Cup returns to write a new chapter of that legacy — this time at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, with an even larger field and a race weekend built around both performance and experience.

Honouring the Past, Racing the Future

The 2026 Porsche Carrera World Cup will once again see the world’s best one-make drivers compete side by side. With more than 100 Porsche 911 GT3 Cup cars expected, the event pays homage to the record-breaking grid of 2011 while embracing the growth and global reach of the Porsche one-make ecosystem today.

Drivers from every corner of the world — from national Porsche Carrera Cups, the Porsche Mobil1 Supercup and Porsche Sprint Challenges — will come together in a four-day format that blends high-intensity sprint racing with the shared spirit of Porsche’s racing family.

A Porsche Motorsport Festival

Beyond the racing, the Porsche Carrera World Cup is a full brand celebration — a motorsport festival where drivers, fans, and partners come together. The paddock will be alive with energy, featuring a variety of activations and fan engagement experiences. A large hospitality and guest area on the roof of the pit building offers panoramic views of the circuit, while interactive displays, merchandise zones, and Porsche heritage exhibits will give attendees a deeper connection to the brand.

Whether you’re behind the wheel or trackside, the Porsche Carrera World Cup is designed to inspire — a rare moment where the competitive spirit of Porsche meets the passion of its global community.

With its return in 2026, the Porsche Carrera World Cup reaffirms Porsche’s commitment to customer motorsport and creates a powerful stage where history, performance, and passion converge — just as they did in 2011, and just as they will for the next generation of Porsche racers.
