With a new season comes new challenges and the chance for more victories.
After a stellar 2024 season, with eight titles across three series, Porsche is gunning to defend those titles and win even more in 2025.
The Porsche 963 claimed seven of a possible eight titles in WEC and IMSA last year, and with that success behind it, the Porsche Penske Motorsport team will kick off its 2025 season with the iconic 24 Hours of Daytona in January.
The Formula E season is already underway, with Pascal Wehrlein mounting his title defence, while the Esports and DTM teams continue their preparations.
With plenty of exciting races to come, we look ahead to the thrills expected in 2025.
After taking a clean sweep of titles in the 2024 season, the Porsche Penske Motorsport team will be back for more thrilling action in 2025.
Last year, the team took a 1-2 in the GTP drivers’ and teams’ championships, and only one race in nine did not feature a podium finish for the 963 prototype.
The reigning champions will be hoping to continue their streak of success when they return for another nine-round calendar in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship.
There has been a tweak to the driver line-ups for 2025, with Mathieu Jaminet and Matt Campbell sharing the #6 car, while reigning champion Felipe Nasr will team up with Nick Tandy in the sister #7 car.
Kévin Estre and Laurens Vanthoor will support the crews at the Endurance Cup races at Daytona, Sebring, Watkins Glen, Indianapolis Motor Speedway and Road Atlanta.
Porsche will be gunning for its 20th overall 24 Hours of Daytona victory at the opening round in Florida, having also won the 2024 edition of one of the world’s most famous endurance races.

Porsche also enters the 2025 FIA World Endurance Championship as reigning champions, having claimed the drivers’ title at the final round in Bahrain in November.
Finishing second in the manufacturers’ championship, with Manthey Racing winning the LMGT3 title, Porsche is back and fighting for even more success in 2025.
The eight-round calendar is unchanged from last year, with the opening round taking place in Qatar at the end of February.
The championship then heads to Europe to race at Imola and Spa before the headline event: The 24 Hours of Le Mans, where Porsche will fight for its 20th overall victory.
Next, the series heads to the Americas, with races in Brazil and the US, before rounding off the season in Japan and Bahrain.
Two drivers will regularly pilot each car in the FIA World Endurance Championship, with Julien Andlauer joining Michael Christensen in the #5 Porsche 963.
Andlauer drove for the Proton Competition team in 2024, and has gained extensive experience with Porsche since being named Porsche Junior in 2018.
The #6 sister car will be helmed predominantly by Laurens Vanthoor and Kévin Estre.
A third driver will be called on for each car for the 24 Hours of Le Mans and the season's highlight races, with the #5 cockpit earmarked for Mathieu Jaminet and Matt Campbell driving the #6 car.

The 2024-25 Formula E season is already underway, as the TAG Heuer Porsche Formula E Team hopes to defend its first ever drivers’ title.
A landmark season from Pascal Wehrlein saw the German take the team’s maiden drivers’ title as he was crowned after a dramatic final round in London, beating Jaguar team-mates Mitch Evans and Nick Cassidy to the title.
He took three wins and a further two podiums on his path to victory in the Porsche 99X Electric, including winning the season opener in Mexico.
Team-mate António Félix da Costa took four wins in a hugely successful season which helped the team finish second in both the teams’ and manufacturers’ championship.
At the season opener in São Paulo, da Costa secured a strong second-place finish after finishing just three-tenths shy of race winner Mitch Evans.
Lining up fifth in the #13 Porsche 99X Electric (GEN3 Evo), Da Costa was able to navigate a incident-filled event which saw two red-flag periods, the second of which was for the extraction from his car of team-mate Pascal Wehrlein.
The reigning champion’s race was ended after contact with the Jaguar TCS Racing car of Nick Cassidy following the first race restart.

The first Esports competition of 2025 kicks off on February 1, with the return of the Porsche TAG Heuer Esports Supercup.
The seven-round series will see some of the world’s best sim racers battle it out to become champion. The top 15 drivers from the Contender Series will go up against the 15 leaders from the 2024 championship, who automatically qualify.
They will be joined by wildcard nominations from national Porsche Esports championships. The grid line-up is capped at 35 participants.
Former PESC champion Jordan Caruso joins the works driver line-up for 2025 alongside Joshua Rogers, Dayne Warren and Charlie Collins.
Rogers claimed victory in the Contender Series in 2024, guaranteeing his return to the main championship by winning four of the 12 races.
