“I started to play around with cars when I was a kid with my dad, so that dictated my way going to university and studying vehicle dynamics and vehicle science. During that period, I already started historic and GT motorsport. Going from there, I went into DTM, did two seasons there and then went for 15 years into LMP1 doing WEC and Le Mans.”

“A day at work in the office is first of all, I go to the workshop and say hello to all of the mechanics. Most of the day it’s meetings and preparing for the next events and planning for the season. My track experience here at the WEC races starts always with logistics, we receive and then doing the track set up. Second day is then occupied by preparing the cars and everything for scrutineering. It’s then three days of free practice, qualifying and race, and then it all happens again for the next one.”

“I think it would be a Porsche 917, because that for me, when I was a child looking at Steve McQueen, that was the ultimate race car and the ultimate Porsche at Le Mans.”

“My earliest memory was going to the Oldtimer-Grand-Prix at the Nürburgring with my brother and my dad when I was a kid. I was into Porsche and Ferrari at that time and it was great to see the old Formula 1, 2 and GT cars racing on the Nordschleife. When I was a little bit older, I started to work on cars with my dad and we were in historic cars, so historic races were where we spent our weekends. Then getting older, going to university, going to the Nordschleife and working in a team there, working with cars, that was what I did.”

“I studied vehicle engineering, so I would join the engineering crew here in our project. Outside of motorsport is a difficult one - in general, sports is what I like, so I don’t know if I’d be doing sports actively myself or working in the organisational management of sports.”
