“From my time in the programme, our first win was a big one at Long Beach. It was a race where we didn’t really feel like we had the pace to compete, but on strategy we won that race. You cannot forget about the 24 Hours of Daytona in 2024, which was the first Daytona overall win for me.”

“It was great, it was tremendous. I mean, being part of this project in general with Porsche and Penske is just a real honour. In the end, we’re here to win, and last year was just a spectacular race season with Daytona, a bunch of race wins and then finishing up with the championship at the end.”

“One dream I always had was to race the Isle of Man on a motorcycle, that’s still one of my bucket list things. Probably something slow, because I’d be worried about crashing and getting hurt. Maybe a 125cc!”

“I have a lot of them from being a small kid at the race track. I grew up at the race track, my dad was working in a race crew and my mum was flipping burgers and feeding everyone. I just have a lot of random memories from being at the race track as a kid, running around, getting into trouble. We would stay in little campers so I have a lot of memories from that. Back home in Sweden, you can take all your cans to the grocery store to recycle them and get money, so I would go round the paddock collecting all the cans, filling up all the trucks with trash bags of cans so I could get the money.”

“I come from a mechanical background working on things, but I always tell people I never had any interest in working in a car dealership or anything like that. But I did always like to work with my hands, and I thought maybe if I didn’t do this I’d be a carpenter or a plumber. I joke with my wife - we’ve got three boys - that hopefully we’ll get a carpenter, an electrician and a plumber. I’ve never done anything else, so I don’t know any better!”
