Urs Kuratle

Director Motorsport LMDh

Personal take

It would be hard to find many people in motorsport who have had as long and storied a career as Urs. Kicking off his journey in 1989 with victory at the 24 Hours of Le Mans with Sauber Mercedes, he spent four years in sportscars before a move to Formula 1. Two decades later, he was back in endurance racing, after a brief spell flying helicopters in his native Switzerland. He became Director Motorsport LMDh in 2022. Overseeing the whole project, Urs can usually be found either in meetings or front and centre in the garage.

My favourite thing is the interaction with people, with a lot of human beings involved.
