Alex Athanasiadis

Lead vehicle performance engineer

Personal take

Alex has been passionate about racing his whole life, from go-karting as a child to building a buggy while at university. Having left his native Greece before moving around Europe, he worked in GTs before a spell in the automotive sector, working on supercars. After a move to the United States to work in IndyCar, he joined the Porsche Penske Motorsport team for the start of the 2024 season. His role involves “a lot of data analysis,” but crucially: “Just trying to make the cars go faster!”

It’s been just an amazing experience really and I couldn’t be more proud to be part of the team.
