Alejandro Sánchez: Experienced in many different styles of racing

The newest member to the Porsche Coanda Esports Racing Team, Alejandro Sánchez joined the team towards the end of 2025, just after winning the 2025 IMSA Esports GTD Championship and is ready to take on the 2026 season.

Alejandro (or Alex) was inspired to pursue a career in motorsport by watching the early career of fellow countrymen, Fernando Alonso and the early 2000’s era of Formula 1. He regularly takes part in karting events and, looking for a solution to the financial constraints that so many young drivers face, Alejandro took to sim racing, quickly rising through the ranks and becoming one of the fastest drivers in the virtual world.

Sim racing to me is the ultimate way to level the playing field. Who you are, or your economic background has little impact. It's the same for everyone and that's what made me really like this discipline.

Through his time racing in the virtual world, Alejandro has raced in a large variety of different categories like GT cars, single seaters and hypercars, making him somewhat of a virtual jack-of-all-trades and a huge asset to the team. Accompanied by his trusty #47, Alejandro is aggressive but calculated in the way he drives and thrives in intense qualifying situations, where thousandths make the difference.

The racing might be virtual, but the thrills are very real. Being able to experience this level of competition alongside some of the best in the history of the sport, while having Porsche by my side is way beyond anything I could have ever imagined.

When he’s not racing, Alejandro has spent a lot of his time working on his Mechanical Engineering degree. We have no doubt that Alex will bring a whole new dynamic to the teams and help us secure even more success. Vamos Alejandro!
