“I started working in sportscars in college in the late 1990s, my first time here at Sebring was 1998. When I graduated from school in 2001 I started working in IndyCar, which I did for about a decade, and since then I’ve worked in either IndyCar or sportscars.”

“We prepare for a race, so a lot of simulation prep and other engineering tests get completed. Then we go to a race, and then we analyse everything that happened on a weekend - where can we get better, what did we learn, that sort of stuff.”

“I think the old Porsche Penske Can Am car that Mark Donohue drove, that thing was such a beast, and so i think that would be incredible to drive, although I don’t know if I’d have the skill or the ability to drive it like it should be driven!”

“I grew up with my dad racing go-karts, so just going to the track and him racing and watching him race at the kart track. We travelled all over the country, so probably my first memories would be travelling with the family from race to race all over the country. He was racing since I was born - I have a picture which I found recently of me sitting in his go kart when I was two-years-old at Daytona International Speedway as he was getting ready for a race. After Daytona this year, my mum sent me that and said ‘hey, remember this’ and it reminded me of how many years I’ve been to Daytona racing go karts or racing sportscars. So many years!”

“If I could do anything, when I was growing up I wanted to be a race car driver, but my dad told me when I was in college that he didn’t have enough money and I didn’t have enough talent, so that’s why I decided race engineer was probably a better choice for me. Outside of that, something involved with motorsport or if not, at least something involving travelling. I enjoy that aspect of our job and seeing different places. I mentioned my wife - some day as a retirement job I wouldn’t mind working as a park ranger or something like that.”
