Discover the thrill of North American racing with Porsche Motorsport North America
Founded in 1985, Porsche Motorsport North America (PMNA) serves as the official motorsport operation of Porsche in the United States and Canada. With a deep legacy of competition and excellence, PMNA supports customer racing efforts, professional teams, and driver development programs across the continent. Over the last four decades, it has grown into a central hub for Porsche's racing activities in North America, expanding its offerings to include multiple one-make series tailored to various levels of experience and commitment.
At the forefront of PMNA’s racing ladder is Porsche Carrera Cup North America (PCCNA). Launched in 2021 and celebrating its fifth anniversary in 2025, PCCNA is the most prestigious and competitive one-make series in the region. It features the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup car and runs alongside premier racing events, including three Formula 1 Grands Prix and five IMSA Championship weekends. The series is known for its professional-level competition, making it a launchpad for emerging talent aiming for international success.
Porsche Sprint Challenge North America (PSCNA) caters to both seasoned and aspiring drivers with large, competitive grids and two car-specific run groups. The series features four classes in total—two each for the 911 GT3 Cup and Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport platforms—ensuring fair and exciting competition for a wide range of driver experience levels. With events held across iconic U.S. circuits, PSCNA serves as a foundational step for drivers progressing toward higher levels of motorsport.
Focusing on the western half of the country, Porsche Sprint Challenge USA West (PSCUW) delivers the same high standards as PSCNA, but with an emphasis on accessibility for West Coast-based teams and drivers. The calendar includes three joint events with PSCNA, offering expanded competition and exposure, while maintaining a regional focus for convenience and cost-efficiency.
Adding a new dimension to PMNA's racing portfolio is Porsche Endurance Challenge North America (PECNA). Unlike the sprint format of other one-make series, PECNA embraces the excitement and strategy of endurance racing. It includes features such as pit stops, refueling, tire changes, and driver changes—often pairing drivers with teammates or coaches. This series promotes teamwork and provides a valuable learning experience in long-format racing.
To complement its racing series, PMNA has developed a comprehensive suite of driver development programs designed to prepare the next generation of professional race car drivers. The Porsche EBOOST Junior Program is a region-leading initiative focused on identifying and nurturing young talent. Through year-long mentorship from former factory Porsche drivers Patrick Long and Richard Westbrook, the juniors participate in workshops at numerous events, plus a dedicated two-day workshop at Team Penske headquarters in Mooresville, North Carolina. Many graduates of this program have gone on to compete successfully in WEC, IMSA, SRO, and other open-competition championships world-wide.
For drivers showing promise at higher levels, the Porsche Selected Driver Program North America offers tailored support and resources to accelerate their professional growth. This initiative ensures that standout drivers continue to develop under the Porsche Motorsport North America banner as they transition into top-tier open-competition environments.
In support of increased diversity in motorsport, PMNA also leads the Porsche Mobil 1 Female Driver Program, which offers targeted opportunities and mentorship specifically for female racers competing in Porsche’s One-Make series. The program reflects Porsche’s commitment to supporting women in motorsport and fostering a more inclusive racing environment.
Together, Porsche Motorsport North America's One-Make racing series and development programs create a structured pathway that supports drivers from grassroots motorsport to the highest levels of professional racing. Through a combination of competitive platforms and industry-leading mentorship, PMNA continues to shape the future of North American motorsport.
