With another busy month ahead, here’s a preview of Porsche Motorsport’s activities in June.
Always a busy time in the motorsport calendar, this June plays host to some of the season’s biggest events.
Kicking off with the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the month will also take in Sanya’s return to the Formula E calendar, IMSA’s 6 Hours of the Glen, and much more.

WEC: 24 Hours of Le Mans
June brings one of the motorsport calendar’s biggest events of the year: The 24 Hours of Le Mans.
Held annually for over 100 years, the classic event attracts over 300,000 people to the French city for one of motorsport’s most iconic races.
The race takes place on June 13 and 14 this year, with practice and qualifying taking place across June 10 and 11 as part of the FIA World Endurance Championship.
This year, Porsche will be represented by two Manthey Porsche 911 GT3 R.
Timur Boguslavskiy, James Cottingham and reigning DTM champion Ayhancan Güven will be at the wheel of the Manthey DK Engineering #91 Porsche.
The sister #92 car, The Bend Manthey, will be piloted by Yasser Shahin, Riccardo Pera and Richard Lietz, who will be fighting for his third consecutive win in the LMGT3 class.
The team #92 crew of Lietz, Ryan Hardwick and Riccardo Pera took victory at last year’s event, while the #91 car of Lietz, Morris Schuring and Yasser Shahin won in 2024.
The #92 car currently leads the standings in the FIA Endurance Trophy for LMGT3 Drivers, having finished third in both Imola and Spa.

Formula E: Sanya
Formula E returns to the vibrant coastal city of Sanya, China for Round 12 on June 20, marking the series’ first visit to the city since Season 5.
Located in Hainan Province in the south of China, the Sanya E-Prix will take place on a similar layout to the street circuit which was on the calendar in 2019.
The race marks the championship’s second in China, taking place two weeks before the Shanghai double-header.
The team heads to China leading the manufacturers’ championship, with both Porsche Formula E Team drivers Nico Müller and Pascal Wehrlein inside the top five in the Drivers’ Standings.
Despite a tough weekend in Monaco for the factory team, which you can read about here, Wehrlein sits fourth with Müller fifth.
Andretti and Cupra KIRO scored a podium each in Monaco and will be hoping to continue their strong performance as the championship heads to Asia.

IMSA: 6 Hours of the Glen
The
One of the five races which make up the championship’s Endurance Cup, this classic American sportscar track is sure to provide another thrilling race.
The 11-turn, 3.450 mi / 5.552 km circuit in New York is sure to provide yet more thrilling racing, with Porsche Penske Motorsport having already had a brilliant start to the 2026 season.
The team took victories in the opening two outings at Daytona and Sebring, with the #6 car continuing the podium streak at Long Beach.
Though Laguna Seca and Detroit were more challenging outings, the team is hoping to be back fighting at the front in the next endurance round.
Laurin Heinrich is second in the drivers’ standings after five rounds, with Felipe Nasr and Julien Andlauer close behind in third.
Porsche is also still in the fight for the Manufacturers’ Championship, just 25 points behind the leaders.
Customer racing: Spa 24 Hours
Taking place just two weeks after the 24 Hours of Le Mans is another of the season’s main endurance races: The Crowdstrike 24 Hours of Spa.
Held since 1924 at the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps, the biggest GT race in the world is a highlight in the International GT Challenge’s calendar.
There are 16 Porsche entries in this year’s race from notable teams such as Dinamic GT, Lionspeed GP, Schumacher CLRT and more.
Competitors include factory drivers Matt Campbell, Ayhancan Güven, Laurin Heinrich and Thomas Preining.
It marks round three of the championship after May’s Nürburgring 24 Hours, and will be the fourth of the year’s big 24-hour races.
Three Porsche customer cars finished inside the top 10 overall at this year’s Nürburgring 24 Hours, with the #24 Lionspeed GP car finishing highest in sixth. Read the full report
Porsche sits second in the IGTC Manufacturer Standings, just nine points shy of leaders Mercedes-AMG, while Bastian Buus, Laurin Heinrich and Ricardo Feller are fifth in the Driver Standings. Kerong Li also leads the way in the Independent Cup.
DTM: DEKRA Lausitzring
The DTM holds its third round of eight in May, heading to the Lausitzring in Brandenburg.
The EuroSpeedway race takes place on the sprint circuit, adjacent to Europe’s only oval race track. It is 3.478km / 2.161mi long, with 12 corners.
Manthey had a strong outing at the track last season, with Thomas Preining and Ayhancan Güven both scoring points in both races.
Manthey is fielding two entries this season, while Land Motorsport joins the Porsche family with a third Porsche 911 GT3 R.
Former Porsche Junior Bastian Buus will drive for Land, with Manthey fielding 2023 DTM champion Preining alongside new addition Ricardo Feller.
After the latest round at Zandvoort, Preining is fourth in the standings, having scored points in every event so far since winning the opening race at the Red Bull Ring. Feller has also continued his points streak.
Manthey is fifth in the Teams’ championship, and Porsche is fourth in the Manufacturers’ standings.
Land Motorsport had a challenging weekend in the Netherlands, with Buus disqualified from the opening race after crossing the line in fourth. He was then forced to retire from Race 2 after suffering a puncture.
