Porsche has launched the fourth season of Porsche Esports Sprint Challenge GB, its successful virtual championship created in partnership with Motorsport UK Esports. As in 2025, the overall winner earns a place on the Porsche Esports Carrera Cup GB grid, underlining the championship’s role as an entry point to the Porsche Virtual Motorsport Pyramid. In addition, champions in both categories – Pro and Am – will win a ‘real world’ driving experience at Porsche Experience Centre Silverstone.

A familiar format returns, with up to 44 competitors battling online across five evenings and 10 races, via the iRacing simulation platform. In 2026, drivers will use a virtual Porsche Cayman GT4 Clubsport MR, racing in either the Pro or Am category depending on their skill level – determined by their iRating. The championship continues to visit authentically modelled recreations of the UK’s most famous circuits, used by Porsche Esports Carrera Cup GB, Porsche Carwow Carrera Cup GB and Carwow Sprint Challenge GB. New for 2026 is the addition of a ‘wildcard’ international circuit, voted for by fans.

Taking place on Tuesday evenings, the new season begins at a digital Donington Park on 20 October 2026, and concludes at a pixel perfect Brands Hatch on 17 November 2026. Each event includes a one-hour practice session, a 10 minute qualifying session, and two action-packed 30 minute races. In order to promote an accessible and level playing field, drivers will use Fixed Setups, with the finishing positions of Race One dictating the starting grid for Race Two. The events will be broadcast live via the Porsche Twitch channel (twitch.tv/porsche), and the Race Spot TV YouTube channel, with expert commentary and post-race driver interviews. Audiences have grown consistently since the championship’s inception in 2023.

Unrivalled championship prizes

Porsche Esports Sprint Challenge GB offers a credible entry route into top line sim racing competition. Successful participants have progressed up the Porsche Virtual Motorsport Pyramid to Porsche Esports Carrera Cup GB, and beyond. And the championship continues to draw a direct link between sim racing, Porsche Carwow Sprint Challenge GB, Carwow Carrera Cup GB, and Porsche road cars.

Alongside a place on the Porsche Esports Carrera Cup GB grid for the overall winner, Esports Sprint Challenge GB offers champions in both categories the opportunity to translate their virtual skills to the real world. Category champions will get behind the wheel of road-going versions of iconic Porsche vehicles, including the Porsche 911 and Porsche Cayman, while also receiving physical trophies. In 2026, additional prizes will be available for three drivers from each category who compete across the full season.
