Joshua Rogers takes a hat-trick of wins at Silverstone
Joshua Rogers (Team Parker Racing) took a trio of overall victories at Silverstone, as he continued to close on championship leader, Joe Marshall (Team Parker Racing) from Cheshire. Rogers enjoyed a perfect weekend in Northamptonshire, as the esports star drove to two pole positions, and three victories, in differing weather conditions. Rogers and Marshall will now fight for championship honours at the season finalé in October.
In the RS Am category there were wins for Dean Burden (Toro Verde GT) from Lincolnshire, and Daniel Lewis (Race Car Consultants) from Essex. While Gabe Fairbrother (Graves Motorsport) from Chester proved unbeatable in Clubsport. Fairbrother raced to three category victories, and was crowned Clubsport champion with three races still remaining in 2026.
A perfect weekend for Rogers in RS Pro
Rogers drove to two pole positions in qualifying for Rounds 13 and 14, with title rival Marshall shadowing him on both occasions. Rogers got away well for the opening race of the weekend, conducted in dry conditions. Marshall maintained second place, with Ethan Hammerton (Graves Motorsport) from North Yorkshire in third. Matthew Kyle-Henney (Clean Racing) from Hampshire slipped back to fifth from his starting position of fourth. Newcomer Josh Smith (Xentek Motorsport) from Cumbria advanced as he passed Christopher Bingham (Raceworks Motorsport) from Nottinghamshire for seventh, before overtaking Samuel Harvey (Xentek Motorsport) from Sutton Coldfield for sixth overall.
In the second half of the race, Kyle-Henney closed on Dan Zelos (Graves Motorsport) from Norfolk for fourth, while Bingham challenged Harvey for seventh. However, Bingham soon received a five-second time penalty for track limits which defused their fight. Rogers took his sixth win in seven races, with Marshall and Hammerton joining him on the overall podium. And with the retirement of Kyle-Henney on the final lap, Smith finished an impressive fifth on his championship debut.
Rogers got away cleanly in dry conditions to lead Marshall at the start of Round 14 on Sunday afternoon, while Kyle-Henney gave chase in third. Rogers built a comfortable lead over his championship rival as the race developed, driving to the flag unchallenged for his second win of the Silverstone weekend. And once again he was joined on the overall podium by Marshall and Kyle-Henney.
Rain swept in just before the start of Round 15, forcing drivers to make a last minute call on fitting either slick or grooved Michelin tyres – all of the RS Pro category racers selected wet weather rubber. Rogers led at the start in slippery conditions, with Marshall looking to challenge him from second place, and Kyle-Henney just behind in third. When the race settled down Max Watt (Toro Verde GT) from Oxfordshire and Zelos engaged in an exciting fight, with Watt emerging ahead. However the action was interrupted by the arrival of the Safety Car, and the race ended under neutralised conditions. Rogers secured his third win of the weekend, with Marshall and Kyle-Henney joining him on the overall podium once more.
Burden and Lewis ahead in RS Am
Lewis topped the RS Am category drivers in qualifying, and would start Rounds 13 and 14 ahead of his rivals. Lewis was overtaken by Burden at the start of the weekend’s first race, with James Seale (Xentek Motorsport) from Hampshire following closely in third. In the early stages of the race Mark McKenzie (Graves Motorsport) from County Durham, and Aimee Watts (Clean Racing) from Kent, slipped back down the order, but they both quickly began recovery drives. Watts passed returnee Neil Tofts (Graves Motorsport) from Essex, however the latter soon made his retirement. The first RS Am category podium of the weekend was formed by Burden, Lewis and Seale.
Following the race Watts was disqualified from the results, and would start Round 14 at the back of the grid, and with a 10-second delay to her getaway.
Lewis led the RS Am category racers at the start of the weekend’s second race, with Seale moving up to second and Burden relegated to third. Following her delayed start, Watts quickly made her way through the pack, and was up to seventh overall by the midpoint of the race. In the closing stages, Burden pressured Seale, but he could not find a way through. And Watts continued her charge, overtaking Richard Hosking (CCK Motorsport) from Gloucestershire in a dice which saw the pair race side-by-side as Watts grabbed sixteenth. Lewis, Seale, and Burden formed the second RS Am podium of the weekend.
In the wet weather conditions of Round 15, Reece Somerfield (Breakell Racing) from Walsall in the West Midlands took a gamble and opted for slick Michelin racing tyres before the start. As the only driver on slicks, Somerfield spun on the way to the grid, but he stuck to his brave decision. Lewis led Seale from McKenzie when the lights went out, and Somerfield was slightly slower away yet negotiated the opening laps cleanly. Watts spun before continuing at Copse, but attentions quickly turned to the battle between Seale, Lewis and McKenzie, with Lewis and McKenzie swapping places more than once. In increasingly tricky wet conditions, McKenzie spun twice before continuing, and this promoted Hosking to the final podium position.
In the closing stages of the race Lewis attacked Seale and eventually got by on the inside line at Brooklands. And Somerfield failed to make progress as conditions worsened. Shortly afterwards Seale left the circuit at Copse where he made contact with the barriers, scrambling the Safety Car into action. As a result, Lewis, Hosking, and Watts formed the final RS Am category podium at Silverstone.
Fairbrother crowned Clubsport champion
Fairbrother was fastest in Saturday’s qualifying session, taking category pole position for the weekend’s first and second races. Fairbrother led newcomer Leo Purches (Toro Verde GT) from Dorset, and Glasgow’s Giancarlo Romano (Tuthill UK) from lights to flag in Round 13. In doing so Fairbrother was crowned provisional Clubsport category champion, with Purches scoring a podium result on his championship debut. Fairbrother led Purches from Alister Weston (Xentek Motorsport) from Kent at the start of Round 14, but Romano found a way ahead of Weston to adopt the final Clubsport podium spot. And that is how the category order remained to the flag, with Fairbrother enjoying his thirteenth category victory of the season. In the wet conditions of Round 15, Purches initially got ahead of Fairbrother before their positions were reversed, with Romano occupying the final podium place, and that was the order when the race ended under the control of the Safety Car.
The 2026 championship reaches its conclusion at Brands Hatch in Kent on the weekend of 9-11 October.
