Voisin and Jenkins share Snetterton spoils

Porsche Carwow Carrera Cup GB 2026 / 2027 Junior, Callum Voisin (Rosland Gold by Century Motorsport) from Bath overtook Sid Smith (Graves Motorsport) from Essex for victory in Round Five of the 2026 season at Snetterton. Round Six pole-sitter William Jenkins (Team Parker Racing) from Stafford enjoyed a flawless lights-to-flag victory in the weekend’s second race, to take his maiden overall victory.

There were Pro-Am category wins for Oliver Jackson (JTR) from Surrey, and Stephen Jelley (XQS Team Parker Racing) from Leicester, as they intensified their championship battle in Norfolk. In Masters, Michael Keohane (Century Motorsport) from County Cork, Ireland, and Carl Cavers (Century Motorsport) from Nottingham, claimed category wins on the longer 300 circuit, in extremely hot conditions.

Jenkins is a new overall winner in Pro

The championship continued with its new qualifying format at Snetterton, with the first 15-minute session setting the grid for the opening race of the weekend, and the second session creating the order for the final race. Smith drove to his first pole position of the season in Saturday’s initial qualifying session, and the first in championship history for Graves Motorsport. Voisin would start Round Five alongside Smith on the front row of the grid. Smith got away cleanly at the start of the race to lead through the first corner, while Voisin successfully defended second, and Jack Sherwood (Team Parker Racing) from Leicestershire overtook Jenkins for third.

The top four of Smith, Voisin, Sherwood and Jenkins broke away from the chasing pack. Sherwood looked for an opportunity to pass Voisin but he couldn’t find a way through. Voisin then closed on the race leader, and on lap eight the Porsche Junior snatched the lead from Smith using the inside line at Oggies. Sherwood looked to follow him through amid the battle, but an opportunistic Jenkins overtook the pair on the outside line at Brundle to secure second. The new race order was Voisin from Jenkins, Sherwood and Smith, and that is how things remained to the flag, with Voisin taking his fourth victory of the season.

Jenkins topped Saturday’s second qualifying session, and would start Round Six from the front of the grid with Isaac Phelps (Rosland Gold by Century Motorsport) from Hertfordshire alongside. Jenkins maintained his advantage at the start of the race, with a good launch and an early race lead. Pro-Am’s Jelley briefly accelerated into second place overall before Voisin passed him, and Phelps slipped back behind Smith. Smith suffered a lock up on the second lap, allowing Phelps back through.

Jenkins found himself maintaining a consistent one second gap to the chasing Voisin. Whenever the Junior gained ground, the race leader had an answer for him, as their battle for victory ebbed and flowed throughout the race. Phelps overtook Jelley for third overall with a confident move in the closing stages. Meanwhile, Voisin moved to within half a second of Jenkins, but their positions would remain the same. Jenkins took the chequered flag for his first overall Carrera Cup GB victory, with Voisin in second, and Phelps enjoying the maiden podium finish of his Porsche racing career.

Jackson and Jelley top in Pro-Am

Jelley was the quickest Pro-Am category driver in the weekend’s first qualifying session, but he was overtaken at the beginning of Round Five by a fast-starting Jackson. Jelley lost further places when Jacob Tofts (Graves Motorsport) from Essex advanced to second in the category, and Moore moved up to third. On lap six, Tofts began to pressure Jackson for the Pro-Am lead, but he could not gain an overlap.

When Jonathan Moore (JTR) from South Yorkshire received a five second penalty for exceeding track limits, Jelley automatically assumed third in the category fight on corrected time. However, Jelley soon cemented the position by passing Moore on the track. Following a five-second time penalty applied to Tofts for track limits, the top three finishing positions in the category were Jackson, Jelley and Tofts.

Jelley started ahead of his Pro-Am category rivals again in the weekend’s second race, and he briefly snatched second overall before falling back to third – all while still maintaining the Pro-Am category lead. Meanwhile, Tofts was running second in the category order, with Jackson in third. While Jelley lost his overall podium spot to Pro category racer Phelps in the latter stages of the race, he was still able to retain his lead in Pro-Am to the flag. Therefore, Jelley enjoyed his second Pro-Am win of the season, and he was joined on the category podium by Tofts and Jackson. With his results at Snetterton, Jelley has now assumed the lead of the Pro-Am championship.

Cavers takes Masters glory

Keohane was the fastest Masters driver in the first qualifying session at Snetterton, with rival Cavers starting ahead in the second race. Keohane was leading Masters in Round Five until he left the circuit to make his retirement - that left Cavers clear to take his second category victory of 2026. It was role reversal in the second race, as Cavers quickly found himself ahead of Keohane in the opening stages of Round Six, and they would hold their positions to the flag.

The next stop for the championship is Thruxton in Hampshire – the UK’s fastest circuit – on the weekend of 24-26 July.
