Porsche Motorsport GB has revealed the four finalists for the role of RAFA Racing Club Porsche Carrera Cup GB 2026 / 2027 Junior. Following interviews with 12 shortlisted hopefuls, four candidates have progressed through to the final selection stage. The final four promising racing drivers will now face an extensive multi-faceted assessment day at Silverstone, with the winner announced at the Porsche Night of Motorsport on 22 November 2025.
Established in 2008, the Porsche Carrera Cup GB Junior Programme is designed to identify and nurture young racing talent. The successful candidate joins a grid of identical 510 hp 911 GT3 Cup cars, competing in the 2026 and 2027 seasons of Porsche Carrera Cup GB. Alongside an £85,000 contribution per annum to their racing budget, the Junior Programme provides specialist support, with a mentoring package tailored to foster a successful future in professional motorsport.
The RAFA Racing Club Porsche Carrera Cup GB Junior benefits from in-depth technical coaching from Porsche Motorsport engineers, expert advice in the areas of fitness and health from Porsche Human Performance professionals, access to a sports psychologist, and an individual media and communications programme. In addition to joining the Porsche Carrera Cup GB grid over two full seasons, the Junior driver becomes a Porsche ambassador at high-profile events, including at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, where RAFA Racing Club Porsche Carrera Cup GB 2024 / 2025 Junior James Wallis set a record time in the 2025 Shootout. Former success stories also include Adam Smalley (2022 / 2023), Harry King (2020 / 2021), Dan Harper (2018 / 2019) and Charlie Eastwood (2016 / 2017) – all four Porsche Carrera Cup GB champions have since gone on to win at international GT racing level.
Four finalists – one common goal Among the four finalists who will enter the ‘Porsche Junior Shootout’, are 20-year old Daryl DeLeon from Cambourne in Cambridgeshire. In 2023, Daryl made his British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) debut, going on to enjoy victories at Brands Hatch and Donington Park in 2025 with West Surrey Racing.

The 19-year old went on to enjoy success in the GB3 Championship, securing the title in 2023 with two wins, six pole positions and a total of 11 podium results. In 2024, Callum moved into FIA Formula 3 where he took a maiden victory in his debut season, returning for a second full season in 2025.

Returning for 2025, Samuel stepped up to the 718 GT4 RS Clubsport, competing in the RS Clubsport Pro category, and taking a maiden overall victory at Silverstone in September.
The Junior Shootout The four Porsche Junior finalists will now attend a full day of intensive on- and off-track assessments at Silverstone. During the process, the candidates will be evaluated by a panel, including members of the Porsche Motorsport GB technical team. Supported trackside by 2024 / 2025 Junior James Wallis, and 2025 Porsche Carrera Cup GB champion Andrew Rackstraw, the contenders will take to the circuit in the 911 GT3 Cup for qualifying and race-simulation runs.

In addition, extensive physical assessments will be conducted by Porsche Human Performance experts at Porsche Experience Centre Silverstone. Media broadcast exercises, and assessments by a sports psychologist, will also determine each candidate’s suitability for the role, and their potential to grow in the future with the correct level of guidance.
All four finalists will attend the Porsche Night of Motorsport on 22 November 2025, where the winner will be announced. The exclusive awards ceremony will also see the champions of 2025 crowned, while offering an opportunity for Porsche, its drivers, teams and partners to celebrate another successful season of Porsche Carrera Cup GB, Sprint Challenge GB, and Esports Carrera Cup GB.
