Callum Voisin named RAFA Racing Club Porsche Carrera Cup GB Junior for 2026 and 2027

Callum Voisin (19, Bath) has been announced as the RAFA Racing Club Porsche Carrera Cup GB 2026 / 2027 Junior at the 2025 Porsche Night of Motorsport awards in Birmingham. Voisin succeeds 2024 / 2025 Junior James Wallis, who was present at the announcement to hand over the mantle to his successor, signing off on two seasons of racing with the support of Porsche.

The role of Porsche Cars GB Junior is one of the most exciting opportunities in UK motorsport, setting recipients on a path that can lead to international success. Voisin follows in the footsteps of a number of successful former Juniors who have gone on to enjoy recognition on the international stage. Adam Smalley (2022 / 2023), Harry King (2020 / 2021), Dan Harper (2018 / 2019) and Charlie Eastwood (2016 / 2017) were each crowned as Porsche Carrera Cup GB champion, before continuing their impressive careers in professional endurance racing.

Having begun his racing career in karting before moving into car racing with the Ginetta Junior Championship in 2021, Voisin went on to take the 2023 GB3 Championship title, before joining the FIA Formula 3 grid for the past two seasons. He qualified as one of four talented finalists for the coveted Porsche position, picked from almost 60 applicants, which also included Porsche Sprint Challenge GB 2025 race winner Sam Harvey (21, Sutton Coldfield), Daryl DeLeon (20, Cambourne) and Joep Breedveld (18, Berkel en Rodenrijs, Netherlands).

The four Porsche Cars GB Junior finalists were put through a challenging assessment day at Silverstone on Wednesday 5 November 2025. The intensive and multi-faceted process included both on- and off-track activities, with all four evaluated by an expert panel, including members of the Porsche Motorsport GB technical team. Alongside their driving skill at the wheel of the 510 hp Porsche 911 GT3 Cup during qualifying and race simulation runs, hopefuls were tested for their technical feedback, media aptitude, physical fitness, and psychological disposition. Each element carries equal importance in determining a candidate’s suitability for the role, and their potential to grow in the future under structured guidance from Porsche.

The Porsche Carrera Cup GB Junior Programme was established in 2008, and it remains one of the most sought-after opportunities in UK motorsport. Designed to identify and nurture young racing talent, the Programme provides an unprecedented level of support and guidance designed to unlock their full racing potential. Alongside an £85,000 contribution per annum to their racing budget, the successful candidate receives a specialist mentoring package, with support from Porsche Motorsport GB engineers, media training sessions and a tailored fitness regime created by Porsche Human Performance professionals.

As well as joining a grid of identical 911 GT3 Cup cars during the 2026 and 2027 seasons of Porsche Carrera Cup GB, the latest Junior will also represent Porsche Cars GB as an ambassador at high-profile events – including at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. Outgoing RAFA Racing Club Porsche Carrera Cup GB 2024 / 2025 Junior James Wallis made headlines when he set record hillclimb times in the 2024 and 2025 Shootouts at Goodwood.

James MacNaughton, Manager, Motorsport Porsche Cars GB commented: “Porsche remains committed to finding and nurturing the best racing talent, and the Junior Programme is a very important tool in helping us to achieve that goal. Our initiative is one of motorsport's most important opportunities, and over the years it has proven its significance, fostering the careers of several noteworthy individuals who have gone on to factory drives at an international level.

The Junior programme always receives a high number of applications, and this year was no different, so creating a shortlist of four drivers to take part in the Junior Shootout was not an easy task. Each of the finalists is incredibly skilled and determined, and the competition could not have been stronger. The hopefuls each gave it their best shot, making this our toughest judgement yet.

Callum emerged as a very deserving recipient, and we are confident that he will flourish over the next two years as he rises to the challenges ahead. Callum will explore his potential to grow and progress, both on and off the track, as he seeks to echo the success of previous Juniors. We always hope to play a part in finding the next Porsche Motorsport global superstar, and Callum has all the hallmarks of a future champion.
