Harvey and Kyle-Henney are new winners at Silverstone.
Matthew Kyle-Henney (Clean Racing) drove to a maiden overall win in the first race of the Porsche Sprint Challenge GB weekend at Silverstone. The RS Am category racer formed part of the largest grid in championship history, with 27 cars, and overcame tricky mixed weather conditions to take overall victory in Round 13.
The second race of the weekend was shortened by a stoppage on lap three. Sam Harvey (Xentek Motorsport) from Sutton Coldfield took the first overall win of his Porsche racing career. And Harvey repeated his breakthrough result in Round 15, with a lights-to-flag victory. Meanwhile, Oliver Meadows (Team Parker Racing) from Marston in Warwickshire took two RS Am category wins on Sunday, maintaining his championship advantage.
Jonathan Moore (Toro Verde GT) from Barnsley in South Yorkshire, and Lydia Walmsley (Graves Motorsport) from Kesgrave in Suffolk, shared victories in Clubsport Pro. Hannah Chapman (Xentek Motorsport) from Dunfermline secured a trio of wins in Clubsport Am. Following the penultimate weekend of 2025, championship battles in every category will go down to the wire at the season finale at Brands Hatch.
Harvey wins in RS Pro at penultimate weekend Harvey drove to the maiden pole position of his Porsche racing career in a dry qualifying session – just 0.061 seconds covered the top four on the starting grid for Round 13. A rain shower delayed the start of the race, with the majority of drivers opting for grooved wet-weather Michelin tyres. When the race got underway, Tom Bradshaw (Toro Verde GT) from Bolton was immediately involved in an incident with Toby Trice (Clean Racing) from Deal in Kent, which led to Bradshaw’s retirement and scrambled the Safety Car into action. A red flag period followed before the race could restart, now with its length reduced to 15 minutes.
At the second start, Ethan Hammerton (Graves Motorsport) from Northallerton in North Yorkshire moved into the overall race lead. Joe Marshall (Team Parker Racing) from Crewe in Cheshire was a close second, with Harvey relegated to third. As the track dried, those on slick tyres began to enjoy a pace advantage. RS Am racer, Kyle-Henney, sliced through the pack on his slick tyres, followed by the highest placed RS Pro category driver, Jacob Tofts (Duckhams Yuasa Racing by Graves Motorsport) from Hatfield Heath in Essex – also shod with slicks. Kyle-Henney and Tofts moved through to first and second places, with Kyle-Henney taking the flag first. Tofts, Marshall and Hammerton finished the race as the highest placed RS Pro category drivers.
Following the race, for an incident involving Harvey, Bradshaw and Trice, Trice was deemed to have a caused a collision and was deducted two championship and two category points. The weekend’s second race saw Harvey take the lead into the first corner, however, he was quickly challenged by Bradshaw, who usurped him before leaving the circuit at Becketts and rejoining in ninth place. Harvey was left leading Tofts and Hammerton, and that is how the race would end due to a stoppage after only three laps. Harvey was declared the winner, taking the first overall victory of his Porsche racing career, with Tofts and Hammerton joining him on the RS Pro category podium.
In the final race of the weekend, Harvey led Tofts as Hammerton, Marshall and Dan Zelos (Graves Motorsport) from Dereham in Norfolk, battled just behind. Zelos grabbed fourth and then pressured Marshall, but he could not find a route through. Hammerton soon spun which delayed his progress, and also slowed Trice. This allowed Bradshaw to move up to sixth, a gain of four places from his starting position. With 13 minutes remaining on the clock, the Safety Car was called into action which neutralised the race. The race restarted with 10 minutes to go and, with five minutes remaining, Bradshaw completed his recovery drive, snatching fifth from Oliver Cottam (Duckhams Yuasa Racing by Graves Motorsport) from Bridgnorth in Shropshire. However, Harvey was clear to take his second win of the weekend, with Tofts finishing second and Marshall crossing the line in third.
Following the race, Marshall was penalised two category and two championship points for contact with Hammerton. Trice was demoted one place from his finishing position for contact with Hammerton, and also received a penalty of three category and three championship points.
Kyle-Henney and Meadows take RS Am Kyle-Henney was the fastest RS Am category driver in Saturday morning’s qualifying session, and he would start an impressive sixth overall in the weekend’s first race. In mixed weather conditions, Kyle-Henney made a bold choice to use slick Michelin racing tyres for Round 13, while serval others opted for grooved wet weather tyres. Category leader, Meadows, was relegated down the order as Kyle-Henney stormed through the pack, leading an advancing group, including Reece Somerfield (Breakell Racing) from Walsall in the West Midlands, and Dan Lewis (Race Car Consultants) from Basildon in Essex – all three benefited from the faster slick tyre on a drying circuit. At the flag, Kyle-Henney, Somerfield and Lewis were the top RS Am drivers, with Kyle-Henney enjoying an impressive overall victory.
The weekend’s second race saw Meadows leading Lewis and Somerfield after the lights went out, and that is how the race would end after a red flag brought proceedings to an early close. This was caused by an incident for Karim Sekkat (Breakell Racing) on lap three which led to his retirement. Later in the day, Meadows started ahead of Somerfield and Kyle-Henney in Round 15, and the RS Am category order remained unchanged until the Safety Car appeared. This followed an incident between returnee Jodie Sloss (Toro Verde GT) from Oban in Scotland, and Jason Baker (Tuthill UK) from Bristol. After the restart, Kyle-Henney got ahead of Somerfield, but neither could catch Meadows, and he drove to another category victory.
Following the race, for contact with Baker, Sloss was given a penalty of two category and two championship points.
Moore closes on Clubsport Pro title Moore topped the Clubsport Pro category racers in qualifying and would start ahead of Walmsley on the weekend’s first grid. When racing got underway following a lengthy red flag period, Moore remained ahead in the category order, however, Walmsley dived into the pit lane to switch to slick tyres on a drying track. This left Harrison Cavers (LFP Motorsport) from Nottingham in second, with Walmsley playing catch-up in third after rejoining the race. As the track continued to dry, Moore remained ahead, despite retaining his grooved wet weather tyres, while Walmsley advanced to second, overtaking Cavers. The weekend’s first Clubsport Pro category podium was formed by Moore, Walmsley and Cavers.
In the second race at Silverstone, Walmsley jumped Moore early on, with Cavers running in third. The race ended on lap four with the arrival of the red flag, and Walmsley, Moore and Cavers formed the Clubsport Pro category podium. Walmsley was ahead at the start of Round 15, and Moore soon dropped down the order, which promoted Cavers to second in the category battle. Following the Safety Car period, Moore overtook Cavers and closed on Walmsley. The two battled side-by-side down the Wellington Straight, with Moore emerging ahead, where he stayed to the flag.
Chapman ahead in Clubsport Am Chapman was once again the quickest Clubsport Am category driver in qualifying. And she survived the tricky mixed weather conditions in Round 13 to finish ahead of Katia Loggie (Toro Verde GT) from Aberdeen, and Paul Porter (Team Parker Racing) from Nottingham. A truncated Round 14 featured only three laps, with Chapman declared as the winner from Porter and Loggie. Chapman led Porter and Loggie in Round 15, before and after the Safety Car period, and there would be no change of position before the chequered flag.
Championship battles in all categories will be resolved at Brands Hatch on the weekend of 3-5 October 2025, where the longer Grand Prix circuit will host a thrilling Porsche Sprint Challenge GB finale.
