Tofts is new winner as Bradshaw extends championship lead.
Porsche Sprint Challenge GB made its debut in Scotland with three exciting races at Knockhill. Jacob Tofts (Duckhams Yuasa Racing by Graves Motorsport) from Hatfield Heath in Essex drove to a maiden win in the weekend’s opening race. Tom Bradshaw (Toro Verde GT) from Bolton claimed victory in Round 10 following a post-race penalty for Tofts – the winner on the road. And Bradshaw executed a faultless lights-to-flag victory in the final race to further extend his championship advantage.
In the RS Am category, Oliver Meadows (Team Parker Racing) from Marston in Warwickshire won Rounds 10, 11 and 12 to complete a perfect weekend in Fife. Meanwhile, Jonathan Moore (Toro Verde GT) from Barnsley in South Yorkshire, took Clubsport Pro plaudits as he cliched victory in all three races. And it was a similar story for local racer, Hannah Chapman (Xentek Motorsport) from nearby Dunfirmline, as she enjoyed a trio of wins in Clubsport Am on home soil.
Bradshaw ahead as Tofts takes maiden win Tofts claimed pole position for the weekend’s first race during a qualifying session interrupted by a red flag period, caused when championship contender Toby Trice (Clean Racing) from Deal in Kent made contact with the barriers, ending his weekend. Tofts maintained his advantage at the start of the first race, with Sam Harvey from Sutton Coldfield (Xentek Motorsport) and Joe Marshall (Team Parker Racing) from Crewe in Cheshire giving chase. Just behind, Ben Mulryan (Toro Verde GT) from London gained a spot on Dan Zelos (Graves Motorsport) from Dereham in Norfolk, while Oliver Cottam (Duckhams Yuasa Racing by Graves Motorsport) from Bridgnorth in Shropshire slipped back two places to eleventh. As the race developed, Tofts extended his cushion, controlling the race to take the chequered flag first, and recording a maiden overall win. A delighted Tofts was joined on Saturday’s podium by Harvey and Marshall.
Bradshaw led Tofts and Marshall at the start of the weekend’s second race, but Tofts soon found a way ahead at the hairpin, taking the race lead following contact, this left Bradshaw trailing Tofts with Marshall just behind in third. Ethan Hammerton (Graves Motorsport) from Northallerton in North Yorkshire closed on Mulryan in their battle for fifth, but the positions remained the same. Tofts managed the gap back to the chasing pack to take the checkered flag first, he was joined on Sunday’s first overall podium by Bradshaw and Marshall. Following the race Tofts was handed a penalty for his move on Bradshaw, with the latter promoted to his fourth win of 2025.
Bradshaw started from pole position for the final race at Knockhill, he led Tofts and Marshall again at the start after a clean getaway. Meanwhile, Mulryan moved up to fourth, and there was contact between Harvey and Hammerton as they fought over the same piece of racetrack at McIntyre’s – Harvey slipped back as a result. Bradshaw managed the lapped traffic with ease, and despite Marshall closing the gap in the latter stages, the order would remain the same to the flag, with Bradshaw taking another win from Tofts and Marshall.
Meadows wins three races in RS Am Meadows topped the RS Am category racers in qualifying for the opening race of the weekend, and he led Dan Lewis (Race Car Consultants) from Basildon in Essex and Reece Somerfield (Breakell Racing) from Walsall in the West Midlands at the start of Round 10. Somerfield soon moved up to second in the category battle as Lewis incurred a penalty for making a False Start, this relegated him down the order on corrected time, with Dean Burden (LFP Motorsport) from Grantham in Lincolnshire adopting the final category podium position. And that is how the order stayed to the flag, with Meadows taking his fourth RS Am win of the season.
Meadows was the driver to beat again in Round 11 as he drove to a second category win, just behind came a close scrap between Lewis and Somerfield which raged for much of the race. Lewis closed up to Somerfield in the second half of the 20 minute race and he eventually found a way through to settle their fight with six minutes remaining on the clock. The second RS Am category podium of the weekend was formed by Meadows, Lewis and Somerfield.
Meadows led again in the weekend’s final race. Somerfield initially leapt ahead of Lewis for second, but then Lewis overtook on the inside line at the hairpin. Somerfield slipped back into the sights of Aimee Watts (Clean Racing) from Marden in Kent, and the two scrapped for the final RS Am category podium spot. Somerfield emerged ahead, but Watts was the faster of the two, she tested the outside line at Duffus Dip but could not make a move stick. Their battle was finally resolved when Watts suffered a spin. At the flag Meadows took another category win, with Lewis and Somerfield following him home.
Moore tops Clubsport Pro Moore was the fastest Clubsport Pro category racer in qualifying, and he enjoyed a lights-to-flag win in the opening race in Fife. Just behind, Lydia Walmsley (Graves Motorsport) from Kesgrave in Suffolk came under attack from newcomer, Harrison Cavers (LFP Motorsport) from Nottingham. Harrison’s father, Carl, was also racing at Knockhill, appearing on the Porsche Carrera Cup GB grid. Cavers ultimately got ahead of Walmsley to score an impressive category podium result on his Porsche racing debut. Moore led the second race of the weekend with Cavers emerging ahead of Walmsley. In the second half of the race Cavers and Walmsley engaged in a close dice, however when Cavers received a time penalty for track limits Walmsley moved ahead on corrected time. As a result the second Clubsport Pro category podium of the weekend was formed by Moore, Walmsley and Cavers. Moore was ahead again in the third race in Scotland, Walmsley fell back behind Cavers and she would make her retirement from the race in the dying moments. Moore’s hat-trick of category wins completed his perfect weekend.
Chapman wins in Clubsport Am Local driver Chapman topped the Clubsport Am category in qualifying, and she led Katia Loggie (Toro Verde GT) from Aberdeen and Paul Porter (Team Parker Racing) from Nottingham with a lights-to-flag result in Round 10. Chapman started the second race of the weekend ahead of Loggie and Porter, however an incident early on saw Loggie get ahead with Chapman left trailing. Chapman quickly went on the attack, she overtook Loggie to retake the category lead with 17 minutes of the race remaining, and that is how the order stayed to the flag, with Chapman, Loggie and Porter forming the podium.
The last race at Knockhill saw Chapman leading in the Clubsport Am category, Loggie was second with Porter just behind in third. As Chapman remained unchallenged, Porter attacked Loggie in the second half of the race, and there was contact between the two at the hairpin. As a result, Porter made a pit stop before rejoining the race, this allowed newcomer Giancarlo Romano (Tuthill UK) from Glasgow to snatch the final Clubsport Am category podium place on his first weekend with the championship.
