Porsche Carrera Cup GB and Sprint Challenge GB ready to race in 2025.
Porsche Carrera Cup GB, the fastest single-marque GT racing championship in the UK, and Porsche Sprint Challenge GB, the GT championship for the Porsche 718 Cayman, return to action on 24-27 April 2025. Adopting their traditional position appearing in support of the British Touring Car Championship (BTCC), racing begins at Donington Park in Leicestershire with free-to-air terrestrial television coverage broadcast live by ITV, and globally via the BTCC YouTube channel.
Building on its successful format, Porsche Carrera Cup GB will enter its 23rd consecutive season with drivers competing in three categories – Pro, Pro-Am and Am – at the wheel of the 510 PS Porsche 911 GT3 Cup. With a busy calendar of 16 races across eight weekends, the championship will celebrate its 400th race in 2025 at Snetterton in May. Underlining the importance of the Porsche Motorsport Pyramid, five drivers progress from Sprint Challenge GB to Carrera Cup GB for the new season, including overall champion Sebastian Hopkins.
Porsche Sprint Challenge GB enters its sixth season with the Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport featuring on the same grid as the 718 Cayman GT4 Clubsport. Drivers compete in one of four separate categories – Pro and Am in each variant of Cayman. A packed calendar of 18 races will take place across six weekends, on four occasions the championship will unite with Carrera Cup GB creating a bumper roster of Porsche racing. A compelling mix of newcomers includes four female drivers each making their Porsche racing debuts.

Porsche Carrera Cup GB Five teams will battle for Porsche Carrera Cup GB honours in 2025. Reigning Entrants champions Team Parker Racing from Leicestershire return to defend their position. Alongside come returnees Eden Motorsport from London, Century Motorsport from Warwickshire, and JTR from Bedfordshire – the team owned by Porsche factory driver Nick Tandy from Bedford. Graves Motorsport from Essex step up from the Sprint Challenge GB paddock to make their Carrera Cup GB debut with a joint campaign in both championships.
Professional category Reigning Porsche Carrera Cup GB champion George Gamble (Rosland Gold by Century Motorsport) from Nottingham returns to defend his title in 2025. Only three drivers in championship history have taken successive titles – Damien Faulkner (2005, 2006), Michael Meadows (2012, 2013) and Dan Cammish (2015, 2016). Meanwhile, RAFA Racing Club Porsche Carrera Cup GB 2024 / 2025 Junior James Wallis (JTR) from Ledbury in Herefordshire enters his second season with the support of Porsche Cars GB, the 19-year-old will be aiming to challenge for championship glory.
Will Martin (Eden Motorsport) from Hastings in East Sussex is also back for more, Martin was one of four drivers to enter the final weekend of 2024 in overall championship contention. Andrew Rackstraw (Rosland Gold by Century Motorsport) is another returnee hoping to make an impact, the South African from Cape Town won at Thruxton last season.
Reigning Pro-Am category champion Angus Whiteside (Century Motorsport) from Guildford in West Surrey steps up to a Pro campaign in 2025, he arrives alongside 2024 Pro-Am vice-champion Sid Smith (Team Parker Racing) from Maldon in Essex. 2024 Porsche Sprint Challenge GB overall champion Sebastian Hopkins (Team Parker Racing) from Chichester in Hampshire, makes his fascinating championship debut.
Pro-Amateur category Former BTCC racer Ollie Jackson (JTR) from Reigate in Surrey makes his return to an intriguing Pro-Am category lineup. Alongside comes Oliver White (Eden Motorsport) from Bath in Somerset, and Henry Dawes (Century Motorsport) from Glasgow in Scotland. They are joined by two Porsche Sprint Challenge GB graduates, 2024 championship hopefuls Max Coates (Graves Motorsport) from Richmond in North Yorkshire and Will Jenkins (Team Parker Racing) from Stafford in Staffordshire – both will be drivers to watch closely throughout the season.
Amateur category William Paul (Team Parker Racing), born in Buenos Aires but now resident in Surrey, returns to the Am category battle. Paul is joined by 2022 Porsche Sprint Challenge GB Am category champion Carl Cavers (Century Motorsport) from Nottingham, and fellow graduate Jonathon Beeson (Graves Motorsport) from Crewe in Cheshire. As in 2024, Am category drivers will benefit from an adjustable ABS system, providing increased confidence under braking for those who wish to use it.
Porsche Sprint Challenge GB Nine teams field entries for a packed Porsche Sprint Challenge GB grid in 2025. Reigning RS Clubsport and Clubsport Entrant champions Team Parker Racing from Leicestershire return to defend their supremacy. Alongside come fellow returnees Graves Motorsport from Essex, Xentek Motorsport from Yorkshire, Toro Verde GT from Lancashire, Clean Racing from Hampshire, Race Car Consultants from Suffolk, and Breakell Racing from Lancashire. Two new teams, LFP Motorsport from Birmingham and Tuthill UK from Oxfordshire, debut in the Porsche paddock.
RS Professional category Racing the 500 PS 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport in the RS Pro category come a mixture of determined returnees and hopeful newcomers. Names familiar to the category include Tom Bradshaw (Toro Verde GT) from Bolton in Greater Manchester, Joe Marshall (Team Parker Racing) from Crewe in Cheshire, Ethan Hammerton (Graves Motorsport) from Northallerton in North Yorkshire, Toby Trice (Clean Racing) from Deal in Kent, Oliver Cottam (Graves Motorsport) from Brighnorth in Shropshire and Ben Mulryan from London (Toro Verde GT).
Reigning RS Clubsport Am category champion Jacob Tofts (Graves Motorsport) from Hatfield Heath in Essex steps up to a Pro category campaign in 2025, alongside comes Samuel Harvey (Xentek Motorsport) from Sutton Coldfield in the West Midlands. Former BTCC driver and triple MINI Challenge JCW category champion Dan Zelos (Graves Motorsport) from Dereham in Norfolk makes his exciting Porsche racing debut.
RS Amateur category Also competing in the GT4 RS Clubsport in the Am category are returnees Matthew Kyle-Henney (Clean Racing) from Winchester in Hampshire, Reece Somerfield (Breakell Racing) from Walsall in the West Midlands, and Oliver Meadows (Team Parker Racing) from Marston in Warwickshire. Finally, Karim Sekkat (Breakell Racing) from Oxford steps up from a Clubsport Am campaign last season.
Newcomers to the category include Aimee Watts (Clean Racing) from Marden in Kent, daughter of former BTCC driver Patrick Watts. Daniel Lewis (Race Car Consultants) from Basildon in Essex, who transitions from racing Ford Fiestas, and Dean Burden (LFP Motorsport) from Grantham in Lincolnshire who has previously competed with the Caterham Academy.
Clubsport Professional category Three drivers make their Porsche racing debuts in the Clubsport Pro category, racing the 425 PS 718 Cayman GT4 Clubsport. Lydia Walmsley (Graves Motorsport) from Kesgrave in Suffolk is a former MINI Challenge JCW category competitor. Jonathan Moore (Toro Verde GT) from Barnsley in South Yorkshire steps up from the Junior Saloon Car Championship. Jason Baker (Tuthill UK) from Bristol has raced with Ferrari and Ginetta and he joins with new team Tuthill UK – the Tuthill family is famed for its connection with Porsche road and rally cars.
Clubsport Amateur category Driving the Cayman GT4 Clubsport in the Clubsport Am category are returnee Paul Porter (Team Parker Racing) from Bothamsall in Nottinghamshire, who enters his second year with Porsche. Alongside come four newcomers, including Katia Loggie (Toro Verde GT) from Aberdeen in Scotland who has competed in MINI Challenge for the past two seasons.
Another former MINI Challenge racer, Hannah Chapman (Xentek Motorsport) from Dunfermline in Fife, makes the fourth female racer on the Sprint Challenge GB grid in 2025. Alister Weston (Graves Motorsport) from Margate in Kent makes his car racing debut having previously competed on two wheels.
