Rackstraw and Martin win on return to Donington Park.

Andrew Rackstraw (Rosland Gold by Century Motorsport), from Cape Town overtook Will Martin (Eden Motorsport), from Hastings in East Sussex, to win Round 11 of Porsche Carrera Cup GB at the Donington Park Grand Prix circuit. However, Martin fought back in the weekend’s exciting second race, taking his fifth win of the season to further extend his lead in the championship.

William Jenkins (Team Parker Racing) from Stafford, and Oliver White (Eden Motorsport) from Bath, shared wins in the Pro-Am category, with White growing his championship advantage over Max Coates (Duckhams Yuasa Racing by Graves Motorsport) from Richmond in North Yorkshire. While Carl Cavers (Century Motorsport) from nearby Nottingham, and Jonathon Beeson (Duckhams Yuasa Racing by Graves Motorsport) from Crewe, enjoyed Am category plaudits.

Rackstraw and Martin take Pro category honours Saturday’s qualifying session saw Martin emerge with pole position but, on a slightly damp track, he suffered wheelspin at the start of the first race, allowing Rackstraw to snatch the lead before the first corner. Sid Smith (Team Parker Racing), from Maldon in Essex, slotted into third, having fended off the advances of Angus Whiteside (Century Motorsport) from Guildford in Surrey. Rookie Sebastian Hopkins (Team Parker Racing) from Chichester in Hampshire was one of several drivers to find the gravel trap at Redgate before continuing his race.

As Rackstraw pushed to create a buffer back to Martin, Smith defended from Whiteside, but the order remained the same in the early part of the opening race. On lap six, the Safety Car was scrambled to allow for the recovery of debris on the circuit. When the racing action restarted, Smith quickly attacked Martin for second, and then Martin looked for a way by Rackstraw for the overall race lead. Meanwhile, local hero George Gamble (Rosland Gold by Century Motorsport) from Nottingham mounted a challenge on Whiteside at the hairpin. And yet no-one could break the deadlock. On lap 14, Whiteside received a five-second penalty for track limits, which relegated him back down the order on corrected time. In the closing stages of the race, Rackstraw maintained a gap to the chasing pack, driving to his third Pro category race win of the season, and his second overall victory of 2025. The South African racer was joined on the podium by Martin and Smith. After the race, the winner drew the number four ball, reversing the top four grid positions for the weekend’s second encounter. This meant that Gamble would start on pole position for Round 12.

Gamble maintained the advantage at the start of the weekend’s second race, as Smith slotted into second. Just behind, Rackstraw attacked Martin for third through Redgate and the Craner Curves, however, the order stayed the same. Smith soon challenged Gamble at the hairpin, and again at the final corner, but he could not find a way through. Meanwhile, a similar battle between Rackstraw and Martin saw the latter emerge ahead. A few laps later, Martin got back ahead of Rackstraw, with his better exit out of Hollywood providing him with the drive through the Craner Curves. This made the new order Gamble from Smith and Martin.

On lap 10, Smith attempted to pass Gamble at the hairpin, and the two ran side-by-side with Martin entering the mix too, and Martin grabbed second place in an opportunistic move. As the trio continued their battle to Redgate, Smith snatched the race lead but Martin was quick to mount his own challenge, adopting first place when he passed Smith. The race order was now Martin from Smith and Gamble, however Gamble would soon incur a five-second penalty for track limits, promoting Rackstraw ahead on corrected time. Just after Martin’s decisive move for the lead, the Safety Car was called into action when Whiteside made his retirement at the side of the track.

After the stranded car of Whiteside was recovered to a safe position, the race restarted with a handful of laps remaining. Gamble came under pressure from Rackstraw on the road, despite being behind him on adjusted time, and at the last corner on the last lap, Rackstraw overtook to cement third place. At the flag, Martin secured his fifth win of 2025, joined on the overall podium by Smith and Rackstraw. Gamble would cross the finish line in fourth spot, but he ended up eighth in the final race order with his penalty applied.

Jenkins and White top Pro-Am With his best lap time in qualifying deleted due to track limits, White was beaten to the top Pro-Am category grid position by Jenkins. Jenkins maintained his advantage at the start of the weekend’s opening race, leading White from Josh Stanton (JTR) from Oxford. Just behind, there was drama at Redgate as Coates took a trip through the gravel trap on the opening lap, and Oliver Jackson (JTR) from Reigate in Surrey made contact with Am category driver, Beeson, before continuing his race. Following the Safety Car period, a recovering Coates attacked Stanton for the final Pro-Am category position, however, Stanton managed to defend his spot.

On lap 12, Coates received a five-second penalty for track limits, and shortly afterwards a recovering Jackson found himself tucked under the rear wing of Henry Dawes (Century Motorsport) from Glasgow. When Dawes made an error at McLeans, Jackson got ahead for fifth in Pro-Am, and fourteenth place overall. In the final laps of the race, Coates attacked Stanton again, despite his looming penalty, however, Stanton was able to stay ahead in a close photo finish at the flag. The first Pro-Am category podium of the day was formed by Jenkins, White and Stanton.

Jenkins led White and Stanton again at the start of Round 12. On lap three, Stanton came under fire from Coates for the final Pro-Am podium place, however the latter could not get ahead. The fight was reignited on lap eight when Coates finally overtook Stanton for third, while White adopted the category lead from Jenkins just before the Safety Car period. Following the restart, Coates mounted a challenge on Jenkins for second in the category, and when Jenkins made a slight error at the Melbourne hairpin, Coates was finally able to pass. In the closing stages of the race Jenkins fell back, promoting Stanton back up the order. White took the chequered flag to claim his fifth category victory of the year, finishing in an impressive fourth overall, he was joined by Coates and Stanton to form the Pro-Am podium.

Cavers and Beeson win in Am Beeson had the edge over Cavers in qualifying, but an incident at the start of Round 11 resulted in damage that led to his retirement. This cleared the way for Cavers to take Am category glory in the weekend’s first race. Beeson was back ahead in the second race at Donington Park, but he was pushed hard by Cavers at the start. Cavers took the inside line at Goddards on lap two, but Beeson managed to stay ahead in the subsequent run to Redgate. And Beeson survived the Safety Car period to clinch his eighth category win of the season.
